I just called Congressmen Dingel's Office to express my disappointed at his dismissive treatment of a man and his son, at a recent town hall. The mans son,has both cancer and celebral palsy. No question the father was upset, his sons life is in his hands. So the man asked the Congressman, where in Obamas plan, is the  continued healthcare his son needs , that he is now receiving? The Congressman replied, that there was an attachment bill, that was going to be added , and for the man not to worry.

The man than asked if the congressman would give him the number of that attachment? The congressmen (notice I have given the congressman, the lower case he deserves)  was unable to provide it. Later the congressman had a news conference, where he implied, that this man was a set up, and that his anger was just to disrupt the town hall.. CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS????? It seems anyone who might disagree, becuase of a lack of understanding, or ask a question these congressman cant answer, are dissmissed or demonized, without recourse.               

This man whose son is his life, who has to suffer both with his child's infirmities, as well as be concerned with his health care, was see by this Representative as a plant or a stooge. Have they been away so long from the American people that they cant see the forest for the trees? Or are they so used to sending out their own stooges and plants, that they think , this man was one of them? 

What truly upset me enough to call, was the congressman's lack of compassion, not to mention his inability to answer a question or control the conversation..

Would any of you, who sees a father with a disabled son, think he was there for fun! Or out to ruin Obamas Plan, as the congressman latter suggested?

 Do you think this man , who had to carry his adult child to that town hall, put him in his wheelchair, drive to where it was being held, and have the determination to go face his congressman, was an easy task? Or even worse, that he would use his son as a pawn?

Where was Dingels head? Where was his heart? Who the hell does he represent? 

Whats so amazing is , wasn't COMPASSION, supposed to have inspired this Plan? Where is it now?  Why are we Americans suppose to be forced to like something we have yet to understand?. And who is it that will suffer from their lack of communication?  They now are using " demonetization" on those who are asking for answers. Loud or not, dont they have the ability to be in control? I have heard many a congressmen express his frustrations, sometimes even loudly, when arguing a point on the Congressional floor!  Do they expect more from us, then they do of themselves?    

And now for my part in all this....I called the congressman's office.  I was more than polite. And with a very clam voice, I voiced my concerns. I would never raise my voice with someone on the phone. I had no anger or frustration, for my sons life, as Mr Sola had. I was more than careful with both my words and my concerns. I asked why the congressman was unable to treat this man as a person seeking answers, and instead dismissed his concerns with such little compassion. I was immediately hung up on.

 I am a devote believer in Christs Love, and Compassion. I love my country only second to my God. And I never, ever, thought, that a reasoned complaint to a representative of my country, would not be received or understood as my freedom of speech. That a reasoned complaint for anothers plight,  would deserve a hang up, by the very person who could  have cleared the air. Why was I dismissed? I was neither loud nor rude?

I have called representatives before, in both parties,  either in support, or with concerns. Never once was my call ever dismissed. They would listen to my concerns and would attempt to either make me understand, or tell me that they would register my complaint. Never was I dismissed for speaking freely!

Is this the CHANGE, we were seeking? 

Compassion was supposed to be at the core of the Obama Plan, if Mr Dingels response to my concerns is any example of their Compassion, then please hold on to your own insurance.  

We are all concerned about this Healthcare issue. I called in support of a mans love for his disabled son. And because of it, I now believe our concerns need to be focused in another area, as well. While we are rushed to comply on this healthcare plan, our government officials are now treating our Freedom of Speech as a personal rejection of them.

I'm beginning to believe, that the real Health of this Country, is being infected by a disease of incompetence, and arrogant indifference.

The kind of arrogance, that would allow them the right, to hang up on any American who was respectfully, expressing their freedom of speech. 

By God! I finally understand what politics is all about..Its a war of battling ideology's, for the collective brain of America. Its a duel between the Godlessers, and the Godmorers. Dualing in persuasion. Masters of hiding the truth from us,  till we clamor at the bit, to hear more.

Some are Masters of spin, playing with the truth, until the frenzy reaches its peak, giving themselves the time to change whatever policy might be found too offensive. Players with our minds, our money and their importance. Reaching always, to find ways, through slight of hand or tongue, to make themselves more intrusive in our lives.  Never satisfied,until they have the long reach desired, that can put their sticky hands directly into our pockets. With of course, what they see as our collective need. Selling us goods, before they know exactly what the truck is delivering? Intolerant of us, when our need requires more information from them, that's always never forthcoming. 

This entertaining dance is brought to us by, the folks whose job it is to stir up the political pot of our emotions, with snippit of truths. Just enough to get us to bite the bait of their most entertaining political fire. The media is also a very important part of this celebral  dance. They are there to lead us in bias, or balance, with spin, tap and dips. As we seek to learn the ever veiled dance, of who is hiding the truth?

The 4th estate, where much of the dance is played,are no longer the bastions of  truth. These well paid opinionators, are a mix of News and opinions, reporting both, as a constant banner of emergency "Alert", disguises itself as breaking news!

We watch as if we have a stake in the game. This time we might just be right. This time we are placing in these Masters hands,  the very health of our lives .

I see the dance, and as much as I love dancing...I'm going to sit this one out!         

I dont like the movement or the manipulations, the spins and twists needed to make this illusion work.

This time, I wont be fired up, shouted down, poked or proded for the things promised us.   I'm going to leave my health, as well as my security, in the Hands of someone the President said, was beyond his pay grade.

As much as I try to stay out of the body politics,like in the Godfather, "Just when I think I'm out , they pull my back in!" 

As everyone chimes in about the town halls happening around the country, seen through our own particular bias, I realized something about our representatives.

They seem to be too delicate to handle the truth!  Not the truth of the left or right, but the truth that no matter who is in government, they never seem to hear what we really want.

Unfortunately, Americans have very short memories, no wonder ADD is on the rise! Even though, we truly are a people who Hope! We truly are a people who really believe that when we go to the polls, those whom we elect, will be really listening to what we have to say. I think these folks who are screaming to be heard, deserve that right.

Both sides have been screaming at Government for a very long while.

We screamed over pork-barrel spending, and bills being added on in the middle of the night. We scream to reduce taxes, to stop wars, we scream when they overspend. We scream when they underfund. We scream for them to hear us, because no matter what we scream about, they never seem to see it our way.

We will be screaming forever, unless we realize what separates us from them? We will be screaming until we see the ideological differences of both parties. And because of their differences, we are like split personalities, wanting to live in one collective brain. Until we see that both sides need not fight the other, but instead work towards compromise on issues that help benefit all. 

We need to see, that both parties ignore what we ask of them, and that one side isnt any more caring or concerned than the other. We need to tell them, that if they need to spend more money on programs that will help us, than why not first rid us of programs that arent working , before spending more?

We need to tell them, that instead of each Senator creating pork for his state, instead use that money to help the states budget, so they can remain fiscally sound. We need to tell them that money doesnt grown on trees, and that taking money out of one pocket, to soothe the other, is no way to run a government, a business or a family budget.

They need to hear, rewarding bad behavior anywhere, is what makes us want to SCREAM the most! They need to hear that both Partys should be judged by the same standards. And when one side is allowed to get away with certain "fishy"  practices, that the other Party would be called out on.. that makes us want to SCREAM! 

They need to know that most Americans see both sides of an issue, and only fanatics are so ideogicaly blind, that they have lost their sense of reason, and will fight for something even if it isnt right. Most rational people can both use their heads as well as their hearts. Neither side can claim they own one or the other. In fact, its just that ideology, that makes most of us want to SCREAM!

We SCREAM, when we are promised unity and co-operation, and once your in, what we get is bickering, finger-pointing and blame. Dont you think its time you act like grown-ups and take responsibility for both the good, and bad, you do..like the rest of us.

WE SCREAM because we are tired of not being listened to. We are tired of people defining who we are, based upon thier politica outlook. I think its HIGH TIME we SCREAM for a THIRD PARTY SYSTEM.... maybe the new guys on the block, will take the time to hear, what we've been screaming about, for years!             

The most recent attempt of unity by the Obama administration, is to dismiss those Americans who are expressing their frustrations, on their representives. Many Senators and Congressmen are going to go through, initiation by fire, when they return home and hear from their constituents. 

To be angry at government is nothing new. To believe and condemn those people who are protesting your plan, as if they belong to a foriegn country, is another thing. Dem's are known for being vocal activists when it comes to telling the government off. Few of the opposition, have that same activist moxie. So to now hear not only the loyal opposition, but Independents, Conservatives and the like, sounding off, is somewhat unusual. Many of them used to be part of the silent majority.(minority, now I would think)

Freedom of speech is nothing new, but telling people who disagree with you, that they are being stirred up by some activists, is down right dismissive. This administration seems to have a problem when it comes to any opposition. "If we aren't with him, on  Healthcare, we're against him" Sound familiar?

When these vocal Americans say they want a Healthcare Bill, but dont like what they hear is being offered. They are now being dismissed, as  being manufactured by some subversive group, who only wants Obamas Healthcare to fail. Even worse, they are being told that all Americans want the healthcare, so just who are they representing. The admins, representatives seemed to  have developed the attitude of, sorry your getting it, like it or not.

The Presidents Press Secretary, is the most dismissive of all. He has few answers to questions, and those hedislikes, he dismisses with a haughty laugh and a brus of the hand.  I have never heard more,  "I'll get back to you on that" , from this press secretary, than all of those representative, of the two previous administrations.

The last admin. was the one, that was supposed to be the most secretive. Yet their press secretarys had all the answers at their finger tips. The one who promised us the most transparency, is the least forthcoming on the air. Again, I suppose its far easier to dismiss a question in the Press Room, "with I'll get back to you" than to maybe have to answer them, up front.

Again, all I'm looking for, was what I was promised. Bi-partisanship, transparency, and an open and honest relationship with government. What I never expected from this Administration was..... Mental telepathy! Where I'm being told by them, what THEY THINK, I'm thinking!      

Its the money issue? George Bush left much of the war costs , out of the budget. Leaving it, I suppose to be added on to the deficit?  Spending more than most Conservatives would have wanted. He was chastised by the Nation, who then sought change .

 All along the Republicans told us, that if Obama would win, he would enlarge government and increase our taxes. But we didnt want to hear it, from those ol' folks who just had given us 8 years of the same. We now have not only the same thing happening by this President, with a Congress in support of more spending than ever before in our collective history! But we are being told, NOW its the right thing to do.

 We were reminded again and again by the President, that taxes were only going to be placed on the rich.  Then he had the problem of deciding who exactly, were the rich? Now we are again being conne(excuse me) told, that when we get out of this recession, that we all might have to give up a little more.( just a wee bit more, read my lips!) 

 So here we are again, and my question is this.."Where has all the logic gone?"

 Or is our country run by something beyond logic?  Is money just a figment of our collective imagination? Should we even concern ourselves with limiting our spending? When those who tell us what we are supposed to do, dont seem to practice what they preach?

 Where are we going wrong? Apparently we dont have a clue when it comes to  the magical, mystery money, of Washington.  Some say we make it, when we spend it. Others tell us no, save it, til you have it to spend. And even others believe it is in deed a figment of our imagination, and that  we should just continue the spending, without even thinking about it. And that, that is just the magic that creates it?       

 So is money a magical thing? Or do we need to fore-go logic and become semi-delusional? 

What I believe is, when we do that kind of thinking, we feel free. And that kind of freedom creates a kind of abandon, that wants to continue the high. The only problem  is, when someone calls in their loan. Thats when the reality of the situation tends to bring ya' right down to earth, Hard..and I believe that was the recession we just had.   

So is this the change we were looking for? Is Obama the Magician who cant change water into wine? Or is his magic, his ablility to convince us, that he had something to do, with the turn around? Or could it be our confidence in the power we have, to overcome adversity, that will be America's reward?     

All I'm asking is, that when the next election comes around, and we are promised the sun and the moon. That we remember, its never the guys in Washington who makes it happen. They are too busy putting their fingers into the wind, testing its direction.

  Its always the indomitable spirit, we call America, that makes things work! So I'm asking you to please promise me, you'll only "Thank God", for that spirit. And not those who'll make you believe, it came from them!
