    The Anti-hero Hero

    Saturday, July 28, 2012, 3:48 PM [General]

What do you believe caused the rise of the anti-hero in todays society? What do you believe was given up because of it? When you see what is fed to us in our culture today, programs like Dexter..where we are to accept a serial murder killing bad people..without a thought to what Dexter himself is?
When movies like the Dark knight attract to itself, exactly what it is?

What has our culture succumbed to, that would have made us reject so completely, the separation of dark and light?
I believe we have buried ourselves in what comes easy to us. After all it takes conscious choice to choose values and then to live by them. We perfer more living a life of convience. It takes too much effort to do what is right.

We can see this in even the most subtle of things...like a package delivered to the psychiatrist that took a week to be opened? Something not important enough to anyone, that could have prevented the horror movie yet to be!

Its why more kids today cheat in school, than ever before. Dexter can be seen as a hero, while he himself is A serial killer. And no one today, even questions how this  could be real? How a show like that, doesnt confuse a moral mind? Because too many today, reject the use of a moral compass...too much emphasis on good, when easy is so, well EZ!

Have you ever wondered why questioning religion, is no longer a thoughtful approach to self expansion. That things like principles seem not to be important to a persons character? Reason being, few even know what principles are! Did you ever notice when it comes to the word religion, it is immediately countered with hate and put downs and old biases, without one light shown in its regard? And yet so many question daily what Jesus meant, or no nothing when it comes to their own choice of right and wrong!
What instituted the evil of good? What made so many perfer the blending of the lines, rather than defining them better?

I believe it gave us access to dark side, with no need for a moral code or a higher ground. That it leaves us up to ourselves, to say what is true or what is not. It helped to eliminate the need for an ABSOLUTE. After all who is better than we are,to know what we want, and how we can access what we want? Who needs a God, that is all Good? Who can be bothered to take the time? Its far easier to not to have to worry about a conscience. Its much easier to lie our way out...even when it comes to ourself! These are the children of a much lesser god. They are the arrogant child who screams "I want to do it my way, leave me alone!" These are the rebels who fear more, the good of conforming to what is right", then in the acceptance of something lesser than themselves. Its EZier...I can sleep and no one will know that I'm sleeping.
Its because men have lost thier higher calling. The need, the drive, to be better than who they are. They have accepted themselves without a need for a God...The sad thing is, they believe they can be better without Him. That character can exist without a need to always be good.

When divorces are more the norm, when more children are born to single mothers, as more abortions become the EZer way out. When uncommited words, such as "whatever", or adhereing with indifference the need to have a moral or even more an ethical code. You have sold your lot, to whatever! You have not the character within you to commit to a calling other than your own. You have lock out the VIRTUOUS HERO..the MAN OF CHARACTER, THE CARPENTER WHOSE LIFE HE GAVE WILLING FOR WHAT IS GOOD IN MAN. When you no longer can know what JESUS WOULD DO...IN EVERY AND ALL SITUATIONS...you have chosen to live in the clouds of muck and mire...in the undifined world of a darker night!
