If America is her people, then are her people exceptional? Are we a people who love a Compassionate God? Are we a people whose inner urgings are to create good? And when you think of the rest of the world, why do they seek our leadership, if we do not hold something different in our being?

Many might believe we are exceptional only in the fact of our innovation. But what surroundings need to be present to be innovative? And what constituted the atmosphere for this ability to be more creative? Money never is the innovator, it is what comes from the very things we have created! I remember as a child thinking how grateful I was, to find myself born in America. I could have been a child born elsewhere? Does that make me execeptional, in one way it does! Not greater than another, but born into a place whose filled with exceptional possibilities! Should I not be grateful for this placement? Should I not also have been given something that might be exceptional in my own being? Would I ever know what exceptional is, if I dont believe the place I have been born to, isnt  filled with opportunitys?  

I am exceptional because there will never be another me. There will never be another you. How exceptional is that?!! Shouldnt we see each other in this place in time, as being uniquely choosen for an exceptional purpose of becoming our best self? Being exceptionally understanding? Or being exceptionally kind and loving? Why not being exceptional in making others feel exceptional for who they are, with you in this most exceptional time?

One can be as the dictonary states "exceptional" in these expressions..A person or thing excluded. Or a case to which a rule does not apply. Something unusual, gifted or handicapped. If you look down two words in the dictionary, from exceptional you will find the word "excess". If we believe we ourselves to be exceptional to excess, we fall prey to the attitude of arrogance, and entitlement. However, if we look up two word in this same dictionary we will find the word EXCELLENCE..which in my world is the point of this writing.

To strive for excellence of being, is to become unusually GOOD. This is what we have been given as a people whose world is free, and whose choices are full of opportunities. We can become exceptional , because we have the potential of reaching up two words to excellence! If our choices always keep in mind, the choice to be unusually GOOD. The way of Christ gave us the map to be... unusually GOOD. Its our choice to believe we are exceptional, to make choices that others might see as unusually good. Its our place in this time, to become a people of exceptional excellence..My hope is, that we choose to be, that which we are in His eyes!
