I just read a blurb on Holly Lieberwitz's blog, here on Bnet.
She said she awoke with the song September Morn, by Neil Diamond. It too, is a favorite of mine, as are, alot of Neils songs. I also love, when my soul's inspiration awakens me, with song. So I acknowledge and appreciate, Holly's reminder.thanks. She considered what September meant to her, and of course , she made me ponder mine.
Autumn, from my perspective is a very special time. In my case, it's the season of my birth. As it was, a time of my re-birth, as well. Each season can be seen, as the Seasons of our Lives.
Autumn holds a sense of romance in it, for it is the season where love has matured. Its the season where we leave the springtime of our youth, and its understandings for a deeper, more grounded, sense of love.. In Autumn, we no longer accept just a glance, a wink, or fast hand, as a gesture of love. Its a time when love itself, matures, and becomes redefined. Its a time, when the word "character" begins to emurge as having importance. In fact it somehow becomes a priority in loves development in who we are.
It's the time we realize, life is not lived in black or white, nor even grey. It becomes our most creative time. It's Autumn, where for the first time in our lives, we notice we have hues, tones, values, and a depth of color to draw upon. These values and tones add the color of experience, that better expresses who we are.
In Nature, Autumn is the time of the Harvest. The seeds planted, are now returned to us matured. Exactly the way they were meant to be. Their purpose, fully expressed, and now fully appreciated.
Its our middle age, our Renaissance, our Souls expression of the Work of Art, we have become.. It's the time of life we are reminded, "when I was a child, I spake like a child". It is in Autumn, when we put away, childish things.
It's when we stop playing games, unaware of who we are. And instead, begin to see the value of our life, in a more serious manor. Something we took lightly, because we had no feeling, no need, to define ourselves "in time." We lose the word "whatever", and replace it with a more "meaningful" word, Now. We keep our youth in our heart, while adding to it, the maturity of mind.
We recognise the Harvest, by its blessings. What we cared for, and nutured , now has become fruit. We also become aware, that much of what we planted in our youth, was too immature, too unprepared, too baren, to add to Autumns bounty. We acknowledge the loss, and replace it with, a more thoughtfully chosen choice, for the morrow.
It is in this September Morn, that we begin to face Winters Cold. Its the next season, we need to prepare for, in our lives. Where spring will be but a memory of the heart, and where Autumn will remain, the color of our character. Where Autumns deepth of color, prepare us to face the stark white Cold Winter of our Life.

Thank You for the confirmation LuLu2. I was blind sided by all the busy stuff of the world. It's really about God's creation and existence and I can see him right outside my window. What a beautiful season. I grateful to be alive to see it again and appreciate it even more this time. Thank you again!!
