About Me:
Hello potential friend &/or relationship,
~My career at Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) as a mgmt & program analyst in the div of media relations pays for my passion - photography.
~I love dancing, but prefer country dancing (two-step; east & west coast swing; shadow dancing, but not line dancing). I enjoy partner dancing since it can be sensual as you dance close. I lead & follow. If you don’t, I’d love to show you.
~How friends see me. 1. Kind, thoughtful, contemplative, reserved until you get to know the person, & sweet. 2. You are slightly extroverted & take risks with confidence. 3. Intro/extrovert depending on the situation. 4. Caring, giving, loving, compassionate, funny, carefree, & passionate.
~I’m a romantic & I want the same. You need to be willing to express our relationship outside of the 4 walls of a house. When I am in love, I want to show it tastefully in public. I’m not screaming I’m gay from the top of a mountain, but I’m not hiding my feelings. I swore I’d never do it after 3 yrs in the Army. Ironically, 2 of my past 3 relationships were closeted so NOW I will not stay in that type of relationship. Plus it’s like a Public Service Announcement, if straight people see gays acting as they do, then hopefully it lessens their angst.
~I’m androgynous, but I have lipstick lesbian tendencies. I dress casually, but I wear make up most of the time. You can dress me up or dress me down.
~My Sangha (community) as a Buddhist is through the AtlSotoZenCenter near CDC and Emory.
~People have varying degrees of understanding Buddhism. Some consider Buddhism a religion; however, Buddha is not a god. You can be Buddhist & still keep your religious affiliation. By following the Buddhist path, we vow to eliminate our & other suffering so we may live an enlightened life, but mostly we sit & meditate.
~As a Buddhist, one Precept is to honor the body by not engaging in sexual misconduct. A loose meaning is that I am not to engage in sexual relations without love & the intent of a long-term commitment. Of course the idea of lesbian sexual relations is a loose term. It’ll be a case by case basis, however, making out is a WONDERFUL act of exploring & learning about each other. Please don’t let this be a deterrent to wanting to get to know me. There are lots of other things that can be done with a little imagination!
~Trisha Yearwood’s song “Sweet Love” says it all: “It ain’t the getting, it’s the wishing; it ain’t the catching, it’s the fishing. Anticipation got me waiting for your sweet love, baby.”
~I won’t bring a U-Haul on the 2nd date because I own a house with 2 cats (I hope you’re not allergic). I'm interested in dating since it's been awhile, & I want to experience all of the anticipatory feelings like getting ready to see you; holding hands in a movie theater; gaze at the stars or the moon’s reflection on a lake while exploring each other mentally & physically; sitting together in a coffee shop’s comfy sofa; giving the look that lets you know I can’t wait to get you alone!
~I want someone who values the simple things. I don’t find pleasure in materialistic quests. You must be fiscally dependable; however, I’m empathetic to past issues because I filed Ch 7 seven years ago because of a failed business. Motivation is a must, but so is stopping to smell the roses. This includes; taking an afternoon nap in a hammock; reading the Sunday paper; discussing current events; going to a park with a blanket, a picnic basket, a softball & glove/Frisbee, etc., & a book (you can lay in my lap & read while I play with your hair); hiking in the NE Ga. mountains; attending wine tasting & cultural events; & watching the WNBA. GO ATLANTA DREAM!
~I also enjoy paintball, golf & softball.
~I have a concealed weapons permit & carry a firearm. I know people have strong beliefs about firearms so I want you to know before hand.
~A line from my favorite movie, “Somewhere in Time” is...”Are you the one?”
