Christians verses Disciples of Jesus

I have some very real concerns about the differences between today's Christians and the Disciples of Jesus. Here are the differences as I see them
Disciples of Jesus
Promote love of God and neighbor
Encourage the building of a community of love
Promote treating others with love, even one's enemy
Encourage the spiritual journey and spiritual/religious questioning
Christians
Promote theological agreement to a set of beliefs
Encourage a "Christian" community
Promote treating other Christians with respect
Encourage the acceptance of answers given by those in authority
