Sitting in the damp garden this morning, facing east, watching the sun break over the shadowbox fence, I admired the dew sparkling on the unmown lawn and dripping from iridescent purple balloon flowers. I noticed strings of spider webs collected in the dwarf arbovitae, and hanging from the poplar...the sun sliding over the filaments.
An odd thought occurred to me.
"It looks like the spiders T.P.'d our backyard."

I used to love sunsets, and sorta still do, but as the morning sun is rising there is such a spiritual tone. I love the way it unfolds to a new day that we will soon be involved with. This showed a glimpse of how mornings are. I would love to read more on this as you have started a very interesting topic. So glad that you posted something for us to read. You are always so prolific.
