Status: MemberDescription: We all want to be at peace, to live in peace and to see our loved ones living peaceful lives as well. We want to see the hectic world around us at peace. We know that God holds a vision of peace for each of us and for the world, and that he wants us to be living peaceful lives and to be loving towards one another. God holds the gifts of true and lasting peace. It is primarily through prayer and selfless acts of kindness, compassion, generosity and charity that God’s vision for our lives unfolds. Through prayer God gives unconditionally of his ocean of grace, and our hearts are set at peace. We each hold peace in our hearts. We call this peace the spirit, the breath of God, our life. God transforms our hearts and minds into beacons of serene joyous light. God’s light radiates to everyone we encounter, everyone we touch, everyone in the world we pray for. By re-dedicating our lives to God in word and action God is enthroned in our hearts. Praying to God for peace, God bestows his grace, he takes away our pain, grief, sadness, distress, and darkness, and he gives us refuge, protection, healing and sets our hearts at peace. As a prayer group committed to seeing God’s vision of peace established in the world, we can join our hearts together in prayer, in devotion, in love. We can make a difference. We can change the world !

Status: MemberDescription: "The message of The Divine Mercy is simple. It is that God loves us — all of us. And, he wants us to recognize that His mercy is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His mercy, and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share His joy." Jesus' Call to Mercy: "I demand from you deeds of mercy, which are to arise out of love for Me. You are to show mercy to your neighbors always and everywhere. You must not shrink from this or try to excuse or absolve yourself from it. I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbor: the first — by deed, the second — by word, the third — by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me. By this means a soul glorifies and pays reverence to My mercy. Many souls ... are often worried because they do not have the material means with which to carry out an act of mercy. Yet spiritual mercy, which requires neither permissions nor storehouses, is much more meritorious and is within the grasp of every soul. If a soul does not exercise mercy somehow or other, it will not obtain My mercy on the day of judgment. Oh, if only souls knew how to gather eternal treasure for themselves, they would not be judged, for they would forestall My judgment with their mercy" (1317). "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but have life everlasting. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to be its savior." John 3:13

Name:Status: MemberDescription: This is a group for people who recognize in a profoundly personal way that we are all actually facets of one whole interacting with itself, or more accurately, Ourself. It is a place for peer discussion and exploration as we move through the challenges and insights we encounter while participating in the awakening of ourselves to our common fundamental identity, Ourself. As indivisible aspects of the single, infinitely diverse entity of everything/reality/creation we all have an opportunity and a responsibility to deepen humankind's awareness of Ourself, and to enrich our language with new terminology/ideas to more accurately portray that which truly is. We want to support each other as we discover wholeness while living in a society that defines everything (including God) as separate when in fact the creator and creation (including all people, animals, plants, minerals, and seen and unseen forces of spirit) are not in any actual way separate. So don't be shy... your vantage point of the whole is completely unique, and is just as valid and important as anybody elses. Enlightenment is the recognition of the wholeness, which by its very all-inclusive nature negates the validity of any kind of exclusive spiritual authority or guru. To allow ourselves to truly feel and be aware of ourselves as part of the great wholeness we need to stop putting others on a pedestal as a way of avoiding being accountable for shining our own light. Let's get the orchestra of the wholeness playing diversely, brilliantly, and powerfully enough to wake up humankind from the illusion of separateness. We can only accomplish this as a community of distinct voices and insights singing out in the harmony of the whole, and not by silencing our own special voice because we have decided some other "enlightened" teacher has a monopoly on authenticity! So sing out your insights, your questions... cry out your pains and frustrations... and love your neighbor as yourself because in truth they are; we are all precious dimensions of one whole. Let's respectfully, gently, and lovingly be Ourself together.

Name:Category: Arts & LiteratureStatus: MemberDescription: Christianity is a rich and sensuous faith—from sacraments and liturgy to the magnificent witness of creation and the holiness of an ordinary day. Yet, many Christians live rather impoverished lives. They rarely engage their entire being in relationship with God and thereby miss so much of God in each daily round of beauty. The Art of Faith helps participants invigorate their faith by employing more of themselves—their whole brain, all five senses and body—in order to experience more of God. The Art of Faith will breathe fresh life into your soul and awaken all your senses to the wonder of God. The Art of Faith helps people of faith learn how to experience a daily round of beauty through their five senses and the fine arts. Its purpose is to enlarge our souls in ways that cannot happen merely through participating in a weekly worship service. The workshop's aim is to introduce participants to experiences of the God who created us soul and body – and to see our bodies as transmitters of spiritual wisdom and experience. Co-led by Beth Booram and Brent Bill. Beth is an exceptional communicator who has authored a number of excellent works, including The Wide Open Spaces of God and Picturing the Face of Jesus: Encountering Christ Through Art. Brent is a Quaker minister, author, and photographer. His most recent books include Sacred Compass: The Way of Spiritual Discernment and Mind the Light: Learning to See With Spiritual Eyes. theartoffaith.net artoffaith@brentbill.com
