About Me:
I'm a 44 year young lady whom God has asked to be His servant to His people. So, that is my job. I help people every single day in big ways and middle ways and little ways and in all sorts of ways. It could be financially or getting their prescriptions or groceries or picking up their children or running their errands if they don't have a car, give them a ride, or to lend a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on or cry on. I take my Golden Retriever, Journey, to visit the elderly so they can get some joy out of him like I do. I visit the elderly often because I have always had a tender spot in my heart for them and think they are very wise and could run this country better than anyone based on their experience and wisdom and hard times and war times that they have lived through. I, myself, am a devout Christian, who loves God, and feels blessed every day. I grew up extremely poor and in a "bad part of town" with a high crime rate. I've survived an abusive parent, a few abusive boyfriends, and an abusive husband. I am now happily abuse-free and now know the true meaning of love and how it is supposed to feel and what it is not supposed to feel like. I have worked very hard over the years to clean out "my closet of demons" so I can have healthy relationships and I have let go of my past so it does not control me or own me or direct my actions or emotions. I am truly happy now and demon free and know my heavenly Father will always love me. I love to take long hikes with my Golden Retriever and snuggle with my Calico cat. I love watching movies either at home or the theater. I mostly love comedies. I have a very dear best friend who is 93 years old who I visit at least 5 times a week. We have lots of laughs and fun together. We run all around town and do things like a couple of young teenagers. She is very spry and energetic and athletic for a 93 year old so we have lots of fun and do lots of activities together. She is "Grandma" to my dog and cat. I love antiques and my whole apartment is furnished with antiques that I have luckily discovered at thrift stores, garage sales, estate sales, and auctions at a fraction of what an antique dealer would charge. They make look grungy when I discover them, but after a little bit of elbow grease, they look beautiful. I love my girlfriends and cherish the times we have shared together. I have wonderful friends who are all unique and artistic and blessed each in their own way. I am blessed to have them in my life. God is very good to me. That is why I love Him so much.
