[MY MORNING PRAYERS
I have just begun a study on the Names of God and His attributes. What this study has already begun to show me is the power of reflection. When we look in a mirror, we see our refection, don’t we? When we look at ourselves we see many things in the mirror that the mirror itself is not saying… we add the judgment.
When we look at our circumstances, trials, obstacles, or other unpleasant things we would rather not contend with, it is the same thing. We are looking in a mirror. But what if…. Now just think…. What if we looked in that same mirror and saw a perfect, and complete human being? Or what if when we looked in that mirror and we saw a life that we truly loved living and it was with our worry?
When I pondered the names of God that is exactly what I found! Rather than looking at my problems, and instead looking at the promises and the power that is was available to me, the resources that are mine, and my birthright, it puts a whole new light on the possibilities I see in my mirror.
There is a Biblical Proverb that says: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” As I take my mind away from what “I” can do, and focus on what God can do because of who He is, it is very empowering! When I cease to dwell in fear, and place that energy into
Faith, the world becomes a brighter place. We usually receive what we dwell on most…so if you are experiencing some difficulty that has captured your thought life – you’ll continue to attract what you are giving your thoughts to.
Putting into practice the remembering of Who God Is…. What He promises, and His Power can take you to another level of thought ….As I read God’s profile, I became excited because it is not about me, or what I can do…but rather about Him and what He can do if I only believe and have faith.
God’s names reveal His character, His promises, His attributes, and His power. When we focus on that…It changes what we think our outcomes might be, because we can leave all of our concerns in His capable hands.
I am ceasing to look at my problems, and increasing my focus on the problem solver! I am now seeing possibilities… I am now being energized with hope!

[ENCOURAGEMENT AND COMFORT
I HAVE A PH.D ON THIS SUBJECT! lol
Put on your hiking boots, climb that mountain, and get over it! You will build your strength for the next mountain ahead! Ready, Set, Let's Go For It!
Hello, this is taken from my profile... from the emails I receive, I thought I'd post this for the benefit of others who feel they can't overcome trails and tribulations...MY ANSWER TO YOU IS: YES YOU CAN!
GREETINGS AND WELCOME! I joined this community as a prospector, seeking spiritual enlightenment and enrichment through communication with others who are spiritual and faith minded. My invitation for friendship is all inclusive of the diversity found in this community.
Since I do not have an on line picture of myself at this time, for the purpose of identification, I have chosen a piece of art that best represents my spiritual path and attitude aspiration.
My core belief is that God (whom I prefer to call Father) formed man in His own image, giving him the awesome gift and responsibility of personal will and choice. And while we all share that one breath of the Almighty, regardless to our race, characters, creeds, or beliefs, what is equally awesome to me is that we are individually unique and valuable, and that there will never be another you or me from the time of our conceptions through time and eternity.
From my perspective, we are like one body requiring each of us to assist in the development and welfare of the family of man and womankind as a whole. In essence, each of us has manifold missions and purposes to that end. We are to contribute using those gifts of uniqueness, personal choice, and wills, and observe the manifestation of what is culminated and found in our individual lives and in our world.
Thus, we are on a journey of learning and growing and each day is a destination of promise and opportunity despite the obstacles and trials of this present life.
Shall I sow to the spirit, or shall I sow to the flesh is my daily decision. My personal pursuit is the practice of unconditional love. I am a born-again Christian, however, that confession does not mean that I do not have my struggles. As with any believer, we all have moments of doubt, confusion, and weariness, which can be attributed to being human, and are often associated with the trials and tribulation of this world. I, therefore, ask that you keep me in mind, and if you believe in prayer, please pray for me.
While on my journey, the Living God has delivered me from many perils of danger and heartbreak along the way. My life has been endangered on several occasions, inclusive of kidnapping and an assassination attempt, wherein the assailant believed me to be dead. I have had losses of children, parents, grand parents, a brother and sister, a home, and other life difficulties.
We are more than brick and mortar, and we are more than flesh and blood, we are spirits. We are well able to overcome! Great trials can produce great compassion and great love, if you will allow it.
The Lord has kept me that I might communicate with those who are facing great trials and loss. My Friend, His grace is indeed sufficient! What you and I are capable of giving with the help of our God is greater than any loss.
The key to overcoming negativity is using it to develop you so that you may achieve a positive result.
I am a sinner saved by Grace. I believe in the Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and continually seek to make Him the Lord of my life.
I joined this community to fellowship with other believers, as well as others of other faiths. I hope to encourage and be encouraged, to learn, and to teach. I seek to be a servant and a blessing.
Now, in closing, please allow a smile to reside upon your face, and let it reside and shine deep within your hearts.
May Our Heavenly Father bless you richly.
With all my love
Note: P.S. I also have a sense of humor and love fun - While I take my calling seriously - I am well rounded.
I am Looking forward to knowing you!

[MY MORNING PRAYERS
The Names of God used in the Bible act as a roadmap for learning about the character of God. Since the Bible is God's Word to us, the names He chooses in scripture are meant to reveal His true nature to us. While the names listed below are just a few of the names of God, we come focusing our prayers on those attributes of our Living God this morning.
Dear Heavenly Father, Dear Abba Father,
THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU! FOR YOU ALONE ARE MY TEACHER AND GREAT HIGH PREIST!
ELOHIM. – God of strength and power
Elohim Chaiyim - Living God:
Elohim Kedoshim - Holy God:
Elohay Kedem, - God of the Beginning
Elohay Mishpat-- God Of JusticeElohay Selichot - God Of ForgivenessElohay Tehilati - God Of My Praise
Elohay Mikarov - God Who Is Near
Elohay Mauzi - God Of My Strength
Elohay Yishi - God Of My Salvation
Elohay Elohim - God Of Gods
El Elyon - The Most High God
El HaNe'eman - The Faithful God
El Olam - The God Of Eternity
As we come before you, in the name of the one who has poured out His very own life, that we might have eternity, we humble ourselves that we may listen to the words of Jesus, the lamb that was slain for our salvation: John 10: 27-30:
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one."
We come thanking You Dear God for making Yourself known to us. There truly is none that can compare to You! Let us meditate on these attributes today, and draw close to You, for we know that You are not a man who would lie, but the Almighty God, in whom we can, and in whom we do TRUST! Please help us utilize, understand, and believe in your greatness today. As we face this new day, let us truly know who it is that has given it to us, and who it is that goes before us! Amen

[MY MORNING PRAYERS
We come this morning with grateful hearts for Your great and compassionate love for us. We come praying in the name of The One Whom You gave as a sacrificial lamb to redeem Your children – we come in the name of Jesus the Christ.
We come recognizing that you are:
Adonai - The Lord - My Great Lord
Elohim- The All-Powerful One and our Creator - You oh God are all-powerful and the creator of the universe. You are a God who knows all, creates all, and is everywhere at all times.
El Roi - The God Who Sees Me - There are no circumstances in our lives thatescape Your fatherly awareness and care, for You, Oh God. know us, and our troubles.
El Shaddai - The All Sufficient One, The God of the Mountains, God Almighty - You oh God is the all-sufficient source of all of our blessings. You, God, are all-powerful. Our problems are not too big for You to handle.
Give us a heart for You, our King, our Master and Redeemer! Please, increase our faith, for we are like little children, who easily become timid and fearful of the dark! Cause our hearts to embrace, believe, and take hold of all that You are, and to know that You never, never change, and are true to Your promises. You only ask that we believe. Father, we believe You today, and ask that You help thou our unbelief when we are tempted to doubt. Help us to guard our thoughts and actions , Holy Father, and to remember that it is You who has invited us to call You Abba (as your own dear little ones). We pray this morning for our world, for all of those who have needs of every kind, and we ask that we might participate in Your design to seek and save the lost. We ask for forgiveness for our sins (of missing the mark of your intended purposes for our lives), and we ask that You please provide us with the strength and power to overcome the ploys of the evil one who would cause destruction in lives. These things we pray and ask with thanksgiving with respect for all that YOU ARE and YOUR attributes we find in Your Holy Inspired Word to us. Amen

Help us find joy today in the simple and beautiful things that bless our lives. Let us find happiness in the smiles and laughter of our children, let us find comfort in the affection of our love ones and pets, let us be grateful the mundane and monotonous things (that seem to go unnoticed at times by those we care for)…. like the house work, the yard work, the shopping, the preparation of meals, the laundry, the day-to-day – all in a day’s work things we do to provide a comfortable, safe and healthy haven for our families and for ourselves. Let us remember, no matter what tasks, or plans we have for this day…let us remember to thank YOU, for no matter how meager, or great the things we have, no matter the troubles that beset us, there are blessings to found in our lives, if we will only stop to notice…. The fact that we are able to see, touch, feel, speak and hear – the strength we fine to accomplish even the simplest of tasks- the fact that we have a family and friends, a place to live, and food to eat – a table to clean - laundry to wash – are all manifestations of our blessings. As we do what must be done today, Dear Lord, let us look for the blessings associated with the tasks. Let us be grateful and remember just to offer the tiniest prayer of thank you. Remembering that Jesus Christ, in whose name we come, was humble and always grateful, as He took joy in the work put before Him, even to the sacrifice of His very own life. Amen
Recipe for life
I stood at the departure gate in Boston, preparing to cross the Atlantic. Although I had made the journey countless times before, it never really got much easier to leave my home and family, and this time was not different. I looked at my mother, our eyes full of emotion and as we wondered when we would see each other again, she handed me a package, saying it might help me feel better. Typical Mom. Little did I know that it would not only help me feel better, but would also teach me one of life’s greatest lessons. Through the airplane window I watched the last lonely lights slowly disappear off the North American coast and thought about the fateful day years before that had changed my life forever. I had wanted to see Britain, the land of my family’s ancestors, and there I was fatally smitten with a young Swiss girl, whom I later married and with whom I started a family. Now, back in Switzerland, after visiting my parents in Massachusetts, I opened my mother’s package. It was a book of recipes; I laughed out loud as I thumbed though it. All the sections like vegetables, soups and breads were empty but the one section on desserts was chock full. Typical Mom. Here were handwritten cards bearing names like “Seven Layer Squares” or Double Chocolate Fudge,” many of which my mother created or named then my heart skipped as I noticed that she had written this on the inside front cover: “To my dear son: Make some fudge. Think about us. Remember all the wonderful times we have had together, and have them now with your family. Love, Mom.” It’s okay, she was telling me; we must grow up and lead our own lives, even when it sometimes hurts. But there was more. Recipes in hand I remembered snowy winter mornings with no school and hot chocolate; Christmases of joy and special homemade treats; afternoons when my mother was always there, consoling me after a rough time with the school bullies by saying, “Let’s make cookies!” Now, years later, Mom was telling me about what really matters in live: the only real gifts we can leave behind for our children or loved ones are the appreciation of a full life and beautifully memories of our time together. Other things will rust or decay or get lost. The things that really matter never will. It is never too late or too early to create beautiful memories and it now my job to give them to my children.I sincerely hope that my Swiss-American girls will not do what I did; with luck they will marry the box next door and stay on this side of the Atlantic. But wherever they may be, I hope that they, too, will one day open my mother’s recipes and read her words. And like me, they will find a recipe for life. Typical Mom. I DO NOT KNOW, WHICH FRIEND IT WAS THAT LEFT... BUT AS I PRAY FOR MY FRIENDS, I WILL SOON DISCOVER WHO YOU ARE! I CAN ONLY SAY THAT I AM SORRY TO SEE YOU LEAVE.... I SENT YOU A LETTER OF LOVE.... AND SOMEHOW THAT MADE YOU GO AWAY... FORGIVE ME FOR FAILING TO GIVE YOU THE LOVE YOU NEEDED OR SHOW YOU THAT I CARED IN THE WAY YOU WISHED. IF YOU HAD COMMUNICATED WITH ME I WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW I COULD HAVE MADE OUR FRIENDSHIP A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE... I PRAY YOU WILL FIND HAPPINESS AND JOY!

Dear Abba Father, who art in Heaven, (the great I AM who is the beginning and the end), Holy, Holy, Holy is thy Name ,Yahweh! In Your Book of Knowledge You have told us to pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus the Christ, and it is therefore our honor and privilege to come in that precious name of the lamb that was slain, JESUS. As we quiet our minds, and humble our hearts, we come realizing that we are but made of dust and that you remember our frame. And as a father pities his children, so you pity those who love and reverence You as their creator and sustainer. As man examines his mortal body, he finds that he is made of the same elements found in the earth you created. So we know that Your Word is true…. We are but earth, yet spirits seeking to return to You. Forgive us our flaws and faults today, Dear Lord, for we have many. Continue to teach us through Your Word and our experiences, and please give us eyes to see, and ears to listen. Teach to us to walk upright, and reframe from piety. Create in us a clean heart, Dear Lord, and renew a right spirit within us. Revive, and renew us Heavenly Father that we may be earnest servants, faithful and fair Stewarts and lovers of all that is good and righteous concerning all that you have entrusted to our care. Help us to repent of our wrong doings as we come before You today… You do not ask that we labor in guilt, but rather repentance, which lead to righteousness. Keep us from evil and protect us in this world where it prevails! Help us to forgive those who offend or hurt us today, as we recall they too are made of dust. We pray for the lost, the sick, the hurting and abandoned souls living in our world. We pray for every form of injustice that seeks to hinder and destroy mankind, and that You by Your Holy Spirit may disengage and foil any mandates that may harm Your children. We collectively say to You, how great thou art. How beyond the limits of our minds are Your great intelligence, creative power, Your provision and Your great love and mercy for Your creation. We understand that when we praise You, it is a form of saying thank You; it is an acknowledgement of You as the Supreme Leader, Supreme Court Judge, and most esteemed celebrity in our lives. There are no words known to man that could possibly convey how wonderful, how beautiful, how faithful, how long-suffering, how loving You are, as Your measure of these qualities has not and never will be equaled. We have searched our hearts to transcend the words Glory to You, Honor to You, and Praises to You, and found that we have none that are worthy of who and all that You are! You surpass our ability to describe all that You encompass… and our languages fail us as we bow before you in awesome wonder and adoration. Guide and lead us today, that we may say thank You in the most earnest and loving of ways. Help us to keep our minds, and our hearts stayed on You in persistent determination to let our words and actions speak I LOVE YOU, through our obedience to Your will. May we cause You to smile today and make glad Your Great Heart, Dear Father. Amen.

Polar: "You know, Kitfany,
I was only trying to tell him that one of his tirers looked a little flat!"

LESSONS FROM LIVNG THE 7 HABIRS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE EVERY DAY
By Stephen R. Covey
If you want to interact effectively with me, to influence me, -- your spouse, your child, your neighbor, your boss, your coworker, your friend – you first need to understand me. And you can’t do that with technique alone. If I sense you are using some technique, I sense duplicity, manipulation. I woner why your are doing it, what your motives are, and I don’t feel safe enough to open myself up to you. – p.28
EMPATIHIC LISTENING GETS inside another person’s frame of reference. You look out through it, you see the world the way they see the world, you understand their paradigm, you understand how they feel. EMPATHY is not sympathy. Sympathy is a form of agreement, a form of judgment. And it is sometimes the more appropriate emotion and response. But people often feed on sympathy. It makes them dependent. The essence of empathic listening is not that you agree with someone; it is that you fully, deeply, understand that person, emotionally as well as intelectually. p29
