JESUS IN MATTHEW 21:13, And said unto them, it is written that MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED THE HOUSE OF PRAYER; BUT YOU HAVE MADE IT A DEN OF THIEVES. wOW, knowing this, Now it frightens me when I Go to church on wednesday nite,for an hour,Its suppose to be bible study, and prayer,but maybe five or less minutes are dedicated to prayer, and if you think no matter what issue, the doors will remain open any longer, because of different issues in the word or problems with issues that are coming about which are working against the kingdom, you are wrong. Even in the old days one of the oldest members mentioned we would call for a prayer nite. He was facing a serious surgery. Even when we lost our pastor, with only a two week notice, there was no emergency prayer meetings to cry unto God to seek a replacement, and the womens prayer group has been closed since the women who was the teacher passed away over a year and a half ago. The mens prayer meeting still occur on saturday mornings at seven oclock but not all men who work take the time to attend this. We do have a call to the altar during service, and members are annointed with oil, if they request it from the pastor when ill. But if JESUS SAID THIS. ISAIAH 56:7... altars for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for ALL PEOPLE. So whatis the problem, one sunday they talked about how some of the members since they dont publish expenditures dont know the cost for electricity, usuage in the building. But they had a halloween event at the church, Santa claus, handing out gifts in the altar, an entire week of nightly vacation bible school. But many churchs dont want to pray. They dont want to make the time for prayer, so if JESUS SAID HIS HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER, WHAT DO WE CALL THESE BUILDINGS. BECAUSE IF YOU GIVE THE IMPRESSION THAT ALL DECISIONS ARE MADE BY THE CHURCH BOARD, NOT BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHO IS INCHARGE. SO ARE WE BECOMING A DEN OF THIEVES. I CAN ONLY SAY I WANT TO BE A PART OF A HOUSE OF PRAYER. OTHERWISE ITS DISTRESSING. DURING THE EVENT WHEN THE TWIN TOWERS AND OTHER SITES WERE ATTACKED, MY SOULS DESIRE WAS TO GO TO MY CHURCH TO PRAY,A DIFFERENT CHURCH, AND WHEN I ARRIVED IT WAS LOCKED UP, WENT TO A MEMBERS HOUSE THAT WAS NEARBY, AND ASKED HER TO CALL THE PASTOR. BECAUSE THAT PASTOR, KEPT TELEVISION ONLY ON TBN WHERE THIS ATTACK AT THAT TIME WAS NOT MENTIONED, NEVER HAD A CLUE, AND WHEN WAS MADE AWARE BECAME DISTRESSED THAT NOT ONE MEMBER CALLED TO EXPRESSS A DESIRE TO OPEN THE DOORS OF THE CHURCH FOR PRAYER. MANY CATHOLIC CHURCHS HAVE MASSES EVERY DAY. THIS IS IMPRESSIVE. THIS SCRIPTURE CAME TO ME, AND SO I HAD TO JUMP UP AND SAY THIS,PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, EVERY CHURCH SHOULD HAVE PRAYER EXTENDED, PRAYER DURING A DISASTER, THE VERSE THAT DISCUSSES THE PERSON WHO STANDS IN THE SYNAGOGUE, MAKING LONG PRAYERS, SHOULD NOT BE A DETRIMENT TO PRAY, OR CANCELL CHRISTS DECLARING THAT HIS HOUSE SHOULD BE A HOUSE OF PRAYER. THATS A PRIORITY. EVERYBODY OUGHT TO PRAY, AND SOME THINGS DIRECT US TO HAVE TWO OR MORE SO ITS NOT ALWAYS A SINGLE INDIVIDUAL MAYBE SO WE DONT BECOME PUFFED UP.
