I am a 20 something from Pennsylvania. I have traveled all over the world. I have a masters degree in Literature, Religion and Philosophy. I particularly enjoy discussing politics, religion and philosophy/theology. I wrote my thesis on Toleration of Blasphemy in the Roman Catholic and Islamic faiths and would love to hear what other people believe about the nature of organized religion and toleration. It's a pet project of mine. I also love to talk about the separation of Church and State and if this is possible.
I have a very strong Anglo-Catholic upbringing. I find peace in liturgy and practice meditation in Yoga, Prayer Beads (Anglican Rosary), and Lectio Divina (a new practice which I am working on developing in my own prayer life). I have been to Taize in France and this pilgrimage was a very transformative experience for me, I would love to hear more about other people's experiences with Taize as well.
I am a youth ministry coordinator in a small rural Episcopal Church in Berks County Pennsylvania. I work insane hours with my kids in mind. There are about 30 kids in the youth group where I work currently and I love my job.
To make ends meet I teach at local colleges and universities in the Humanities or Philosophy departments. I like teaching, but I hate grading, I love playing games and engaging students in discussion, see above.
I am looking to make new friends who are willing and able to discuss spirituality and self. I have very few friends who are at the same spiritual level as myself, other than men and women who are old enough to be my parents or even grandparents. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but I have an "old soul" and a young body, and would like to meet other people who have this "age-gap".
