    Still Hurting

    Still Hurting .. I guess my disability is getting worse. Last summer I did more then I had in a long time. Even then trying to prove to myself I can do what they tell me I will not be able to do. However the past six months more nerve damage, new and increased pain making me feel hopeless. I am tired of only leaving the house to take Dad or I to the doctor. Other then church that is my social life. Sleepless nights lead into days as the pain only allows short periods of rest. Meditation helps as does praying & reading the Bible. Having only one or two friends is a God Send, yet I realize they have their own family's and commitments How nice it would be to have a group of friends with similar chronic pain & depression issues.Cry371d36d75e05eda735858f8e467be99c

    to they ,can ease the pain

    Life is hard when you are disabled. I know how you feel. My arthritus and diabetes has made me disabled and it seems like many friends I had long ago are no longer around. they are busy with their own lives. But there is one friend who is always there when you need Him and that is God. He is there for us at all times, no matter what time of the day or night you call on Him.

    My Dear Sister,

    I, too, experience constant pain. Seven years ago I lost the use of my lower body from a virus in my spinal cord. I have regained the use of my legs, but experience constant tingling and jirking of the nerves and muscles in my lower body, causing me to lose sleep most nights. Also was found to have high BP and diabetes.
    For someone who hardly ever took medications, it is mind-boggling the number of prescriptions I'm now on!
    My thoughts and prayers go out to you in your distress. May Abba God bless you and keep you in His tender care. And may He bless your family, especially your Dad.
    Loved the pictures of your "babies" Really precious! Pets can be such a comfort. Mine seem to know when I'm having a hard time coping and want to stay close by to let me know they love me and want me to give them some attention.
    I have five cats (all strays we have taken in) and a long-suffering Shi Tzu that we saved from being mistreated.
    I also enjoy watching the birds and squirrels that come to our backporch for peanuts and seeds.
    Do you enjoy reading novels? I do. You can travel all over the world reading a good novel. Just find a comfortable place to sit or (for me) lie down and you can take your mind off of your pain and discomfort for a little while.
