I gained 30lb since I quit smoking. It is so hard to

believe that I packed so much weight on in such a

short period of time but, I have. Now, it's nothing less

than a feeling of absolute desperation to lose it. Not

to mention, the fact that I was significantly over-

weight before I even quit smoking. So, I have my

work cut out for me. Just need some positive energy

to stay afloat day by day and I can do the same for you.

Congratz on kicking the smoking habit!! I have that one to master too but am working on learning to eat right first. I have no clue where everyone else is but I am more than willing to have us support each other. ~ Mandi ~

 Thank you so much JOY,yes, 14 weeks ago, I became a non-smoker.

I am still in shock about the weight I gained in such a short period of time; unbelievable yet, at the same time I am so happy to finally be free of that insane and deadly addiction.

I am happy for you also. You've attained one goal and can now focus on the other. Of course, this is being said by the same woman who was posting months and months ago who weighs just the same.

Hi JOY, That's the thing about weight, we will never really know if and when, we are going to make it.

So, we keep trying. Right now, I am in a pretty good place. Sure, I have been here many times before but I am hoping for the best out come in the long run.

I did about three weeks of logging my food intake and making better choices, lost a couple of pounds, kept up logging a couple more weeks but not making good choices and found those pounds and quit logging...

Glad you're in a good place Irene.

I know JOY. Losing weight is the darnest thing. Like the scale, the motivation goes up and down.

Back-sliding comes with the territory but let's try to hang in.

As I lose in 10lbs increments, that's the only time I will mention #'s.

Keep up the good work Irene and thanks for the support you are giving. Motivation does go up and down, let's hope with spring coming it will only go up!!
