Hello, I'm new to the group and trying to get down to a normal weight before summer. I'm in my late 40's and it's getting harder to lose the weight and harder to exercise because I'm exhausted all of the time. I look forward to being part of the group. Godspeed!

Fruits and vegetables instead of pie and ice cream! I make this fabulous vege soup, great for the cold upstate New York winters. Start with V8 juice and add your favorite veges, beans if you are a vegetarian, or a little hamburger if don't give a who what you eat. I add a touch of fresh thyme, rosemary, and oregano leaves. Dash of pepper. Throw in a can of (less salt) tomato soup (don't add the milk or water). You can make it in the slow cooker, cook it on the stove, or bake it. Cheers

Hi, I go by and am called Maggie j by my friends. I am married and between him and I we have 5 grown children and 9 grandchildren. I am a water aerobics instructor and teach classes 3X aweek for a very kind and fun loving group of ladies. I wanted to join Kick in the Tush Club to get more ideas and friends to help me and help them if I can with healthy exercise and weight loss lifestyle changes. You can never have to many friends when it comes to support and help on a weight loss journey. Thank you for this opportunity.

Hello fellow tushers, My name is Paulissa and I just joined. I am 44, overweight but determined to become healthier this year. I have 65 lbs to lose that seemingly have crept on with each decade since high school. I do mostly OK with eating but I have a verrryyyyyy hard time being consistent with exercise so any tips you can provide will be great!

I'd like to lose 30lbs.; 20 from 2year old baby and 10 from this past holiday season! I'm finding it hard to get motivated. My husband loves my booty the way it is. I don't. I don't have support here at home to lose the weight. Nobody to hold me accountable... not even me. I find ways to delay eating right; "oops, shouldn't have eaten that, I'll try again tomorrow..." I'll befriend anyone who will talk to me straight-honesty. Any takers?

I am totally inspired by the comment today about the She devil's trying to pass out bakery goods at stores. I have seen the same thing happening too. But, what I do is take my youngest son with me. He doesn't let me buy any sweets and you know what he says to me. Mom you don't need that! He doesn't beat around the bush, he just flat out says we have all the things we need, I say let's go look at the bakery before we leave. He say's NO,I'm tired let's just go.So I alway's take him with me. Without his advice I would have half my cart of sweets and chips and who knows what else??? I CAN THANK HIM FOR IT!

Hello, I lost 8 pounds!!! altho it is only a little weight, I am happy. I cut out sweets, watched what I ate. Ate small meals, and ate three or four meals a day! I also got an exersise bike from Craigs List pretty cheap, and can watch tv while I peddle. I peddle twenty minutes a day. I tried not eating but one meal a day but that did not work....heard that it was bad for me I am not on any particular died but I am watching for fat, starch and sweets. I hope that you can use this to help you. I also prayed a lot and share my weight loss with the folks at church. Talking about it helps. the reason I started this was because I have artheritis in my right hip and they said I was too heavy to have surgury. So, I began to do something about it. Its just getting started to do it. I had to have this kick in the tush to get me going, I have a lot more to go and need encouragement to continue. I will be praying for you!
