My name is Karla J. I am a Southern Baptist -"born again" Christian. I am 40 years old. I live in Florida but I am a native of Louisiana.

I have many hobbies including being on beliefnet for daily bible study and fellowship with other Christians and non-christians. I enjoy talking over religion and understanding peoples thoughts on religion. I also enjoy photography, bicycling, kayaking, snorkeling, walking, gardening, and watcing movies. My time is spent solely in purposes of obtaining the goals I set forward. At the time I am working on losing weight.

I am on beliefnet to read and study the bible in depth. I would like to see how the bible is relevant to today's society. What lessons can we learn from a people who lived over 2000 years ago.  How the relevance of those lessons change and mold us as Christians in the modern world.

I have been studying the bible since I was 13 and made a profession of faith at the age of 13. Profession of Faith-meaning that I follow Christ in my daily walk.  I have read the bible several times since becoming a Christian.  However, some of the meanings in the book have eluded my spiritual thinking in the years since. I want to come to know God in a more meaningful way and have a closer relationship with him.

So I ask you to join my bible study online to grow as a Christian and learn the bible with me. I do not claim to know a lot about the bible so please come and teach me. I think that the questions I have some others have the same questions. So let's grow togeather.
