Happy Holidays to Everyone!
I haven't been online much with all the fun and fanfare of preparing for Christmas..
It's one of my most favorite times of year..
My Son and I have decorated the Tree, decorated outside, and baked cookies.. even did some shopping :)
I'll post some pics of Christmas in our home :)
It's nice to see smiles on people's faces when they get their gift..
I am a big fan of "It's the thought that counts" so I try to pick something that is simple
but very heartfelt and lets that person how very special they are and how grateful I am that they are in my life.
Hope everyone is enjoying this Holiday Season..
Here's one of my favorite newer Christmas songs.. It says it all about the best things about Christmas..
I wish and pray that the world could just be Christmas each and everyday...
Do You ever notice how people tend to smile more, let down their guard, relax and laugh more around this time of year?!
It always amazes me that this day has the magic/power/love to lift spirits, feed hope and increase Joy..
Here's wishing that could be 24/7 and just to let You know how very important and special You are to me!
And if You are stuck on what to get someone for Christmas or Kwanzaa or Eid or Hanukkah or Festivus this
year -- kindness, compassion, acceptance, tolerance all are affordable and always fits!
Have a happy holiday season.. whatever it may be for You..
Much, Much, MUCH LOVE and PEACE!!!
Hi, Judi....... hope you have a happy and blessed holiday season!
Peace, love and light, Donna
Ok, I usually like to write about something that inspires and uplifts, but my work week has been beyond overwhelmingly hectic busy miserable I found myself
crying out of exhaustion on the way home from work today.. I usually can weather the many storms that come my way but it felt like the week of unending doom .. '
No matter the call, it started with negative, continued in rude, and ended either in hang ups or obnoxious remarks then a hang up...
One person actually nastily gurgle burped in my ear and continued on with the conversation as though NOTHING happened..
I said "Excuse me??" He said nothing and just launched right into a demanding tirade about what he needs..
I was trying to keep a stiff upper lip and deal with the week like a champ but I was so exhausted I felt the tears coming full on by the time I hit the road.
So I told myself it's human and okay to have a good cry and if I still felt blue by the time I settled in I had better find something to cheer me up. Quick!
So off to "You tube" I went for some comic relief..
Here's a few that brought me out of the dark tired state I was in.. hope they make you belly laugh too:
I SO need this!"
I think the people I had to interact with this week went here for "on the job training":
I wish I worked HERE!!:
Here's a link to my latest blog "A Few of My Favorite Things"
I hope that this silly blog full of my favorite things remind You of YOUR favorites and how little it's costs to enjoy Life!
There are some movies that come out during the Holidays that are just beyond special to me.
Here are two clips of songs from some that might make You smile.
Wishing You & Yours a Safe, Happy and Enjoyable time this Thanksgiving and moving forward into the Christmas Season and the New Year.
As we Italians say... Salute'!
It's the moments in life that count the most.
Much Love and Peace to You and Yours, Always :)
Have You ever seen the show Ally Mcbeal episode of the reserved lawyer John Cage and how he would stand in the bathroom run thru the Barry White song
"You're my first, my last my everything" to boost his own confidence? Check it out...
Well I got to thinking how everyone and I mean EVERYONE has a song that runs thru their head that makes them feel good about
themselves... It's the song that when You hear it, You say to Yourself ..That's right Uh-HUH!
Well here's the clip from Ally Mcbeal and the other is MY personal Confidence Song.. ..
So think about it, is there a song You have? relate to? makes You feel GOOD about Yourself? C'mon You KNOW You have one..
Confidence is the single most important quality that enriches all facets of life: career, social circles, love, etc.
And it's probably the FIRST thing I notice in a Guy.. and attracts me the most. :)
MY "CONFIDENCE" Song!!! you may giggle but how could You NOT feel GOOD after hearing this?!?!
What a beautiful smile and profile:) Cheers, Mike & Kathy
Back in the day, when I was living in AZ- I used to live 5 footsteps from a local dog park.
One of my favorite things to do on a Sunday was take my
Red Heeler Barkley to the dog park and throw his tennis ball a million times..
I loved hanging out there with all the Dog Moms and Dads..
it was a cool way to meet people in the neighborhood..
we would all show up with coffee or something to eat and let the furry kids run around, chase each other
and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine...
I found a couple of videos that have that spirit of Sundays I used to love.. I hope these bring a smile to your face..
By watching these videos, I have to say that we have alot to learn from DOGS about how to spend a Sunday. :)
1. Be friendly! Just walk up to someone You don't know, smile and say Hello!
2. It feels great to be outside without any restrictions.. running can be so liberating!
3. Play is VERY IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL for a happy life!
4. It feels GREAT to be chased after, wrestled with and tickled!
5. Keep things LIGHT and SIMPLE.. When's the last time You wagged Your tail?!?!?!
Now if you will excuse me, I have to walk my Cat!!
Yes! Cats LOVE Sundays outdoors too!! :P
Happy Sunday :)
Much Love and Peace, Heather
Have You ever gone through a period of time where You finally feel You have climbed out of a mental, emotional or physical hole?
I'm just like alot of people trying to find their way, making sense of all our lifes lessons, ups and downs and earnestly trying to put it all together
to allow growth in a positive direction.
I feel like I've come back out into the Sunshine again after doing so much self reflection, healing, mental "house cleaning".
But no matter what adversity, circumstance or situation-I have ALWAYS believed in a better day. That is the ONE simple thing that kept me hanging on until
things, life, etc got better.. So today I am reflecting on this and am very grateful I have friends like You and Angels looking over me to share a story, send a smile,
and warm my path when it gets hard to walk.... I want to say THANK YOU for all the Love and Light You send my way in everyway..
That is truly what life is about! I will leave You with my FAVORITE quote and Song of all times along with some other quotes that have always inspired me.
~~~"Love is all we have, the only way that each can help the other." Euripides (C. 480-406 B.C.- Ancient Greek Poet)~~~
My ALL time favorite Song:
“When a train goes through a tunnel and it gets dark, you don't throw away the ticket and jump off. You sit still and trust the engineer.”
~Corrie Tenn Boom~
If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them.
But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up.
Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.
Giving Thanks for all my WONDERFUL friends today..
Much Love and Peace,
