I am a single mother of an 11 year old son whom I am homeschooling for the 5th year. He is currently in the 6th grade and a black belt in TaeKwonDo. I have a Master Degree in Human Services and I am currently finishing up my Ph.D. in Counseling Studies. I have been battling with worker's comp and social security for 6 years and I just this year got my SS disability approved but I am still fighting with W/C. I have been diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type II (Bilaterally on my upper extremities). Along with this diagnosis, I also have bilateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, DeQuairvein's Syndrome, 6 forms of tendinitis and tennis elbow and golfer's elbow all bilaterally. I got this from a work injury when I was a Surgical Technologist. I am 35 and I have been put through many torturous procedure such as Stellate Ganglion Blocks, Radio Frequency Lesions and 2 major procedures with a Spinal Cord Stimulator permanently installed from my neck to my lower back. I have been put on many medications and have had adverse reactions to some. My health is not the best right now but I am working on it to make it better. My goal is to lose about 65 lbs and to get my health back to being healthy.
For those who know me, I am always smiling and willing to help others at a moments notice. I am very family orientated and have a very close family. Despite all of my medical issues and legal problems, I have managed to continue on with my education and have made it regardless of all the road blocks that have been sent my way. For those who don't know me, you would never think or know that I suffer from Chronic pain because I don't show it on the outside.
I am currently trying to find myself and the role I am to play in this life. I have many questions that I am trying to find answers to. I guess this is why I have joined this community. I feel that I am a good person, loving, caring, empathetic, compassionate, intelligent, and fun. I am involved with my community and professionally love what I do. I have a passion for medicine (surgery) and psychology. I believe in God, Angels and so much more. I have had unique personal experiences and believe that there is more out there for us to explore. I enjoy meeting people and helping people as well. Professionally I love to work with kids and adolescents and also have worked with adults. I love medicine and everything that has to do with the human body and mind. I am at a point in my life where I am ready to work on myself, my life, my feelings and on me! I am ready to fly solo with my son and explore the world!
Is everything going well for you??? I am always here for you to have someone share anything that you want to share.
Have a very bless day. I love you!!!!!
