About Me: Lifelong nonbeliever with strong interest in religious myth, ritual and music. I have read most of the Bibles, most of them several times.
There is a host who used to share J'Carlin, we are still the same person. J'Carlin has learned that each individual must discover herm own path to a meaningful life and to prepare for herm inevitable death. There are many maps and guideposts, many provided by churches and clergy, and only a fool would ignore them. But one is a greater fool to blindly follow any map or guidepost without assuring hermself that the destination is a desirable goal, and that the map or guidepost will actually get one there. Comparison shopping is always useful.
I was born a nonbeliever and never found a reason to reconsider, although I have a life long avocation of studying religions trying to find out what it is that keeps the priests, shamans, pastors and other religious figures in their nice cars and fancy dresses. I have learned much that is useful in the process, and the music keeps me going back for more.
