Muslims Resume Building on Christian Graveyard in Pakistan

SARGODHA, Pakistan, September 1 (CDN) — Muslims led by a hard-line cleric on Friday (Aug. 27) resumed building on a Christian cemetery in Mandi Bhawaldin, desecrating more graves in spite of a local government order to halt construction, according to the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance (APMA).
Radical Muslim cleric Mirza Abdul Ghani had built a mosque on the Christian graveyard off New Rasool Road in Mandi Bhawaldin after allegedly occupying the land 16 years ago, when area Christians were too intimidated to object, said Salamat Zia of APMA.
“No one could object to the construction of the mosque, as it is in the constitution of Pakistan that no religious worship place could be demolished,” said Zia. “Therefore all the Christians remained silent then.”
The cleric’s alleged desecration of more of the graveyard land around the Masjid Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat mosque began three months ago, Zia said.
“This Christian graveyard was earmarked before the Indo-Pakistan partition on Aug. 14, 1947,” Zia added, “and their forefathers were buried there.”
Zia, a local journalist and resident of the Muhalla Ghorra area in Mandi Bhawaldin, said it initially appeared that Ghani’s workers were building an addition to the mosque, as only pillars had been erected. Now Ghani’s builders have completed a basement as well as possibly some shops, with cement plaster now being applied to the new units.
On Aug. 6 Zia led a seven-member Christian delegation intending to meet with District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Amin Chaudhary, another district officer named Syed Shahbaz Hussain Naqvi and District Police Officer Dar Ali Khatak of Mandi Bhawaldin about the encroachments on the Christian graveyard and to discuss how the graves of their loved ones were being demolished and desecrated.
As DCO Chaudhary was on leave, Acting DCO Shahid Rana took their application and forwarded it to the District Officer of Revenue and Tehsil Officer of Regulations with directives to visit the site and demolish all encroachments except the Masjid Ahle-Sunnat-Wal-Jamaat mosque, Zia said.
After inspecting the site, the administrative officers issued directives to stop the illegal encroachments, and for a few days the construction was halted, he said.
“But despite the stay orders of stopping construction, the Muslim men restarted construction over the Christian graves on Aug. 27,” Zia said.
Khalid Gill, chief organizer of APMA in Punjab Province, said that Muslim leaders threatened Christians who objected to the construction.
“They threatened that in case Christians protested against the resumption of construction they would also carry out a protest rally against Christians, and Muslim clerics said Christians would be responsible for the consequences,” Gill said.
APMA has demanded that the government allocate land for a Christian graveyard equivalent to the area allegedly occupied by the Muslims.
Local Urdu-language dailies in Mandi Bhawaldin have publicized the alleged encroachment on the Christian graveyard.

www.meridianmagazine.com/index.php?optio... has an opinion about Glenn Beck. His detractors are loud; his admirers are devoted, but this weekend settled one issue beyond debate. If the LDS Fox News television host throws a party, he doesn’t have to worry that no one will come.
The National Park Service long ago stopped taking count of the numbers at gatherings, but the crowd at the National Mall for Beck’s Restoring Honor rally numbered anywhere from 330,000 to 650,000 according to estimates. In calling for the renewal and restoration of America, the crowd spilled into adjoining fields and nearly a mile down the mall. Another 130,000 watched it on Facebook.
Among his guests were Sarah Palin and Dr. Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who delivered his famous “I Have a Dream Speech” from this same location 47 years ago to the day, something Beck said he didn’t know when he planned the event.
Billed as a non-political rally, crowd members were told not to bring placards and the topic was not about big government or economic woes, but something Beck considers much more basic to restoring nation. “Today, America turns back to God,” he proclaimed. "God dropped a giant sandbag on his head" to push him to organize the rally, he said.
He said, “When I first started putting this together, I thought it was going to be political.” Then he said that he “broke into a cold sweat. I grabbed my assistant and said, ‘I don’t know how, but we’re wrong.’”
He said that he went back to the drawing board and realized that the underlying way back to America was through faith, hope, and charity and developing those qualities inside of us. He told the crowd that “God is the answer.”
It is “time to rebuild America. Rebuild our strength. Rebuild our hearts.”
Beck said, “Americans have always looked to explore. We went west and then we went up. We went down into the oceans. The time to explore is changing. We must not just change outer space, but we must explore inner space. We must look inside ourselves and look at what we truly believe. The Lord has been sending us wake up call, after wake up call, after wake up call.”
Beck and his followers believe that the country is in trouble, and it is primarily because we have abandoned our values.
He said, “Today America finds itself as a crossroads. Faith, hope and charity are growing dim. We simply must remember who we were and who we can become, not what we have become.
“It was an American who made that giant leap for mankind… It is Americans who will solve the world’s problems yet again. Look around you. Where is the next George Washington? Where is the next Thomas Jefferson? They are here. They are standing among us. They are our children.”
Unless we challenge ourselves personally to be better than we currently are, he told the crowd, we will not live up to our promise. He said, “America, now is your moment. Yesterday is gone. The greatest American generation is simply the one who steps up to the seemingly impossible challenge.”
He said America has its scars, but that is not what we should concentrate on. “If you look at the Washington Monument, you might notice its scars. A quarter of the way up it changes color. How did the scar get there? They stopped building it in the Civil War, and when the Civil War was over, they built again.”
When you look at the monument, he said, nobody sees the scars. “They see what it stands for” and at the top, a message is inscribed into the stone in Latin which means “Praise be to God.”
A people gets out of bondage by remembering God. When the Children of Israel were in bondage, Beck said, Moses came with a stick from the Burning Bush. They get their freedom and then they forget. Periodically they wander until they remember that God is the answer.
Have trust in the Lord, he told the group. Gesturing toward the monuments surrounding him, he said George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln—they were just men.
Newsmax magazine's special report "Glenn Beck Wants You!" has been one of our most explosive editions ever — and sales have simply skyrocketed. Glenn told his radio audience that the Newsmax magazine profile of him was one of the best ever.
After Glenn Beck's enormously successful "Restoring Honor" rally this past weekend, you need to get this edition of Newsmaxmagazine and find out what Beck really thinks.
Fox News host Glenn Beck’s TV show has been breaking records — attracting more than 3 million viewers a night — since it burst on the scene in January.
He’s the only author ever to have a No. 1 New York Times best-seller in the fiction, nonfiction and paperback fiction categories.
His syndicated radio show airs on more than 400 stations, his Web site and Web casts are thriving, and his live comedy performances are jam-packed.
Why, and how, is Glenn Beck resonating so powerfully with a huge swath of the American people?
Newsmax magazine takes an in-depth look at the “Happy Warrior” Glenn Beck and reveals how he rose to prominence — and has become such an enemy of the Obama White House and the establishment media.
This insider report on Glenn Beck includes an exclusive, wide-ranging interview with the media sensation who befuddles critics, rallies voters and draws back the curtain on low deeds in high places.
In his interview with Newsmax, Beck reveals his worst fear: that a “Reichstag moment” — a catastrophic event may soon take place so that the powers that be in Washington can end the Republic and our cherished Constitution.
Beck insists he’s not fearmongering — but he is personally afraid for the United States.
With the heightened attention on the proposed mosque at Ground Zero, it’s time equal scrutiny, exposure, and awareness be brought to the giant outdoor mosque being built in Shanksville, Pennsylvania at Flight 93 memorial.
Videos exposing the travesty taking place, almost silently, at the memorial site are at above link. It’s time for Americans to get educated, speak up, contact your elected officials, and stand up for America and those murdered by Muslims in the name of Islam!
If you would like to help stop the crescent mosque, please email Alec Rawls (email@example.com) who is helping to coordinate opposition.
Obama supports Homosexual practices

1. The announcements in the newspapers are automatically generated when a parent(or grandparent) files via mail a notice of home birth in Hawaii. They prove only that someone sent in a postcard with no verification to the State of Hawaii claiming an at home birth. But Obama has been clear. He was born in a hospital. Sometimes they tell us Queens Hospital, sometimes they tell us Kapi’olani hospital, but they always say a hospital.
2. If you are born in a hospital there are records. It is called a long form birth certificate. Just release it and we go away. The form you show on camera Chris can be produced by hundreds of Hawaiians born in Japan for example. This form was routinely given to Hawaiian children born outside of the US. Hawaii didn’t even accept it a proof of native birth when Obama was elected.
3. Even if Obama is a US Citizen, it doesn’t mean he is a “Natural Born Citizen.” The US Constitution is clear, only citizens born on US territory can run for president. This is what keeps Arnold Schwarzenegger from running.
4. Finally, if he became an Indonesian citizen in the 1960’s he cannot be a US Citizen. The law doesn’t allow it. This is why his school records must be released. Did he get a scholarship as a foreign exchange student? What was his status when he traveled to Pakistan? Did he use a US passport?
The Founders considered this an important issue because they wanted to protect America from a president with dual allegiances. Only the presidency has these requirements. If Obama knew he wasn’t born here then he needs to go to prison for fraud. He needs to be impeached. He needs to end this constitutional crisis.
Now here's something you wouldn't expect. Coca-Cola is being sued by a non-profit public interest group, on the grounds that the company's vitaminwater products make unwarranted health claims. No surprise there. But how do you think the company is defending itself?
In a staggering feat of twisted logic, lawyers for Coca-Cola are defending the lawsuit by asserting that "no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitaminwater was a healthy beverage."
Does this mean that you'd have to be an unreasonable person to think that a product named "vitaminwater," a product that has been heavily and aggressively marketed as a healthy beverage, actually had health benefits?
Or does it mean that it's okay for a corporation to lie about its products, as long as they can then turn around and claim that no one actually believes their lies?
In fact, the product is basically sugar-water, to which about a penny's worth of synthetic vitamins have been added. And the amount of sugar is not trivial. A bottle of vitaminwater contains 33 grams of sugar, making it more akin to a soft drink than to a healthy beverage.
Is any harm being done by this marketing ploy? After all, some might say consumers are at least getting some vitamins, and there isn't as much sugar in vitaminwater as there is in regular Coke.
True. But about 35 percent of Americans are now considered medically obese. Two-thirds of Americans are overweight. Health experts tend to disagree about almost everything, but they all concur that added sugars play a key role in the obesity epidemic, a problem that now leads to more medical costs than smoking.
How many people with weight problems have consumed products like vitaminwater in the mistaken belief that the product was nutritionally positive and carried no caloric consequences? How many have thought that consuming vitaminwater was a smart choice from a weight-loss perspective? The very name "vitaminwater" suggests that the product is simply water with added nutrients, disguising the fact that it's actually full of added sugar.
The truth is that when it comes to weight loss, what you drink may be even more important than what you eat. Americans now get nearly 25 percent of their calories from liquids. In 2009, researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health published a report in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, finding that the quickest and most reliable way to lose weight is to cut down on liquid calorie consumption. And the best way to do that is to reduce or eliminate beverages that contain added sugar.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola has invested billions of dollars in its vitaminwater line, paying basketball stars, including Kobe Bryant and Lebron James, to appear in ads that emphatically state that these products are a healthy way for consumers to hydrate. When Lebron James held his much ballyhooed TV special to announce his decision to join the Miami Heat, many corporations paid millions in an attempt to capitalize on the event. But it was vitaminwater that had the most prominent role throughout the show.
The lawsuit, brought by the Center for Science in the Public Interest, alleges that vitaminwater labels and advertising are filled with "deceptive and unsubstantiated claims." In his recent 55-page ruling, Federal Judge John Gleeson (U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York), wrote, "At oral arguments, defendants (Coca-Cola) suggested that no consumer could reasonably be misled into thinking vitamin water was a healthy beverage." Noting that the soft drink giant wasn't claiming the lawsuit was wrong on factual grounds, the judge wrote that, "Accordingly, I must accept the factual allegations in the complaint as true."
I still can't get over the bizarre audacity of Coke's legal case. Forced to defend themselves in court, they are acknowledging that vitaminwater isn't a healthy product. But they are arguing that advertising it as such isn't false advertising, because no could possibly believe such a ridiculous claim.
I guess that's why they spend hundreds of millions of dollars advertising the product, saying it will keep you "healthy as a horse," and will bring about a "healthy state of physical and mental well-being."
Why do we allow companies like Coca-Cola to tell us that drinking a bottle of sugar water with a few added water-soluble vitamins is a legitimate way to meet our nutritional needs?
Here's what I suggest: If you're looking for a healthy and far less expensive way to hydrate, try drinking water. If you want to flavor the water you drink, try adding the juice of a lemon and a small amount of honey or maple syrup to a quart of water.
If your tap water tastes bad or you suspect it might contain lead or other contaminants, get a water filter that fits under the sink or attaches to the tap.
And it's probably not the best idea to rely on a soft drink company for your vitamins and other essential nutrients. A plant-strong diet with lots of vegetables and fruits will provide you with what you need far more reliably, far more consistently -- and far more honestly.
