Wow, what a smart horse. From the age of about 3, I have been in love with horses. I realize that at the age of 53, I will never have one, but I can still have a love affair with horses. I would have to be put into a straight jacket if something happned to my dog, Toby.He is a 6 year old Dalmatian and the love of my life. I have 2 cats and love them equally as much. Your cats have lived to be very old. I have had many cats in my life, actually I think I have never been without a cat since a small child. The oldest cat is one that I have now that I think is about 12 years old.
Hello to everyone. I am new to the group. I have many furry friends. Currently I reside with two dogs, six cats, and two horses. I have been lucky and have had two exceptional and inspiring furry friends, one of them now deceased. She was a cat born to my family and myself from a stray cat we took in when I was little. I was eight when she was born. She had the tendency to act motherly towards me. Curl up with me when I was sick, allow me to do about anything with her when she was much pickier with others, follow me wherever I went if she could (even for several blocks worth of walks outside), and 'yell' at me when I returned home when she couldn't. She taught me much about love and empathy. Tig, as she was named, stayed with me until two months shy of turning 15. My other is still with me. She is currently 18 and I have resided with her for the past 10 years. She is my older mare, an abused Standardbred that was wary about getting physically close to everyone but me at the time that I bought her. Not even a full year after I bought her, she saved my life when I had a seizure while riding her. Rose ran until she caught a family member's attention and then came back to me and tried to nudge me awake. She stayed with me until an ambulance arrived to take me to the hospital and she was put safely into her stall. These two will always have a special place in my heart and are two of my greatest friends.
