Hi, I hope none of your friends may think it improper for you to recieve accolades from a "Christian", but you are truly an inspiration, and a very caring person. I wish more Christians could learn to be like you. You know we supposedly teach Christ-likeness, but He taught pure love, and sometimes reading Christians, it's not always easy to see that. But I believe that a lot of people who call themselves 'Christian' are just associating with something they don't understand.
Anyway, I better close now, for I often have a tendancy to digress. But you truly are a refreshing blessing. Love ya', Steve

Thanks for the note. Coincidentally, I have had Mormons in my life since my Army days in El Paso in the 1960's. My first dental assistants in the army and even my first employees in private practice were Mormons.
Some with whom I practiced closely were also Mormon.

I have always taught religious history to both Jews and Christians from my own Jewish point of view, and have spent time with my Mormon friends learning of their faith.

I know that Mormons seem to feel a special connection to Jews, and all my Mormon friends have been good people with whom the Jewish people should feel safe in a world which has not always been safe for Jews.

    Peace, my friend,

    Howie

Howie, I sense you are a believing person of the Jewish faith. I have a great deal of respect for those of your faith, and feel pained that there is so much hatred and grief associated with the Jewish people. Throughout the Bible, the children of Judah are referred to often as the "chosen" ....people of the 'Covenant'....descendants of Abraham! Oh how I wish the world understood the power of the Covenants the Lord makes with his children....covenants which empower the Lord to bless us in special ways and shield us from the powers of Satan and his hosts......Not unlike the Jewish Faith, we too have Temples, special places of worship where we make covenants with the Lord, and where we can visit often to refresh our remembrance of those covenants.......one of the most precious covenants we make is the covenant of marriage....where a man and a woman, by covenant, are married for eternity....not until death do we part!
