My stress level went through the roof when the doctors told me I had cancer. That was in 2007. Today, I keep so busy helping others I don't have time to think about it.
It's about whether I'm thinking positive or negative...it's about not giving my mind time to entertain the idea of contemplating cancer. Went to see the doctors last Tuesday and they don't want to see me back for another year!!!!!!
Part of my recovery was being willing to try anything. Reiki, crystals, yoga, meditation, omitting sugar and drinking turmeric and warm water.
Today I'm organizing an event to bring health professionals and healers together to share their knowledge and skills to people interested in taking charge of their own health. It's called "Passport to Wellness."

Hello, I am new to the group and I know that I stress and worry. This is due to finances (I am the only one with a good job/husband is not pastoring a church right now/he works odd jobs for a friend that pays cash), having a baby in November (my health and the baby's health), and being a mother to a 6-year-old son. I guess this is a part of life, but sometimes it can take a toll on a person. I hope that this will help me feel better about things going on.
HI MY PEOPLE AM ALWAYS STRESSING I WORRY ABOUT EVERY THING AND AM WONDRING HOW THE GROUP IS GOING TO HELP ME
Good Morning Everyone! I'm new here and I do want to learn new ways to combat stress. I have Dermatomyositis and lupus, I homeschool my boys. Right now this illness is in full swing because all the stress I was under for the last year or so. It has affected my health tremendously. I have tried so many things to no avail. Any help is appreciated.
greetings and salutations fellow stress sufferers!
I have found that by releasing all judgments and opinions I really don't have much worry or stress anymore. It's so miraculous!
I find that the teachings of A COURSE IN MIRACLES help reduce stress tremendously - although initially it can bring a lot to the surface, it's so deeply healing and transformational.
Releasing the stress is essential to a life of joy! What a great group!
I have a beautiful baby boy and he is such a handful! I hardly have time to do anything else with him on my tail every second and I never get any sleep. He is 10 months old and wakes up in the middle of the night for hours at a time. He wasn't always like that though. Its been this way for 2 weeks! My doctor says he is fine, just don't feed him in the middle of the night...I NEVER DO! So I just have to deal with his nightly tantrums until I know what else I could do that would help! So if you know anything that would help me please let me know... thanks:)
Glad to have found this group. I am carrying "old stress" around in a very happy life. Why I continue to ignore it, it still grips my shoulders and neck during the day.
My life has reached a peaceful time, so why still the stress???
Meditation is the best way to manage daily stress. It is of critical importance to start integrating meditation into your daily schedule as soon as possible, as the collective consciousness (all of us) are purging eons of negative energy...which is part of the reason why there's so much chaos in the world right now!
Take 20 minutes each morning (before coffee) and get quiet, phone and computer off or, better yet out of the room...and access the wisdom in your Heart, not the intellect!
I have developed a very special meditation process designed to help you access the Heart Center and begin creating your life from this space....where you will feel the Peace and Serenity that is there, despite the chaos that surrounds you!
I'm happy to teach anyone how to meditate just email me. I live in Lucca, Italy, but I can teach you over skype easily in less than 30 minutes!
P.S. As a single mom, I've endured years of constant stress...so I can tell you from personal experience that this will work for you too!
A couple of weeks ago, I felt as though I was carrying a person around on my shoulders. My neck and shoulders hurt terrible. The strain made work very difficult. I would loose my grip and drop a tray of cups and plates all over the floor. I work in a Children's Day Care.
My co-worker would quietly come help me pick up the pieces. His stressless manner reminded me of when Christ Jesus said, "Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." (Matt. 11:28-29, NRSV)
My worrying about the scary economy and earthquake troubles was only adding to the problem. So, in prayer, I focused more on God, instead of the worries of the world. Divine Spirit is capable of revealing restoration and creativity.
Challenges come up. They make us grow spiritually. And, people can find appropriate and substantial answers, especially when we look to God, as Christ Jesus did.
It took about a week of practice for me to stop carrying around the world's lessons and start carrying around the lessons of Christ. However, the pain dissolved. Not even a trace.
