I'm a forty-something Christian agnostic, married with children. I affirm the beliefs and teachings of credal Christianity but I believe it is impossible to have certain knowledge that these beliefs are true. Faith, in my understanding, is not about believing in the right facts about God and Jesus. Faith is trusting that what Jesus taught us about God is true, and living one's life accordingly. Jesus may be the way, the truth, and the light, but that does not mean Christians are the only ones on the road.
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son. -- Dean Vernon Wormer
I very much agree with your views upon Christianity not being the sole true faith, but A true faith. I myself incorporate Dharmic and other beliefs into my personal spirituality, but remain a Christian.
