I live in a small town with mostly old time traditions, but I'm not a traditional type of gal.  My beliefs are Christian in that I believe Jesus died for our sins, reconciled us unto God , & is King.  However, I do not believe the Bible literally.  I do not believe that God is waiting for us to mess up so He can throw us into hell.  I believe that God is Love, & that the only 2 commandments we are to follow are the ones that Jesus taught us:  Love God before all, & love your neighbor as you love yourself.  If life throws something at us that doesn't fall into these two categories, then it must not be that important.

I am an open-minded Christian, willing to see things from another's point of view & willing to learn deeper truths.  I'm looking to meet people of like mind.

I have felt miplaced for a long time.  A few years ago I moved away & lived among people totally different than those I grew up with.  It made me see things from a different point of view & I was liberated from things that were not healthy.  However, I never felt as if I had ever fit in there, because no one ever laughed, cut loose & had a good time without worrying about what others would think.  When I got the opportunity to move back home, I did.  Now I feel as if I don't quite fit in here either but I have the opportunity to loosen up.  It's tough, but it's a journey with a destination & everyday is just getting better.  I have no doubt that everything will fall into place when the time is right, but sometimes it can knock me on my rear.
