Let us post here information of a practical matter from which we think others might benefit.

I have found on line a high interest checking account where you may keep up to $25,000.00 and receive the 7.01 percent interest.  Over that amount is about 1-1/2% interest. These are insured accounts.

It is by Internet only unless you live in or around Fort Wayne, IN

Basically the only regulations are:

1) Make 10 cleared MidWest America debit card purchase transaction per month or "qualification cycle"  (certain days make up the month)

2) Receive your monthly statement electronically through CU Anywhere

3) Set up one direct deposit or one auto debit monthly

4) Donate $20.00 to the Allen County SPCA ONE TIME as we do not live or work or am related to anyone else in that area who qualifies.

If interested go to www.mwfcu.org.  There will be a phone number as well as an email address to obtain further information.

One this site one can register to be notified when rapists, child molestors etc have moved into your surrounding neighborhood. Great way to keep yourself and your family safe.  I'd show their faces to any children regularly if I had any living with me.

COMPUTER VIRUS WARNING
The newest virus circulating is the 'UPS Delivery Failure'. You will
receive an email from UPS Packet Service along with a packet number.
 
NOTE: The word packet is misspelled on this line. It will say that
they were un-able to deliver a package sent to you on such and such a date.
It then asks you to print out the invoice copy attached.
 
DON'T TRY TO PRINT THIS. IT LAUNCHES THE VIRUS! Pass this warning on to
all your PC operators at work and home.
 
This virus has caused Millions of dollars in damage in the past few days.

You may start or sign a petition currently in progress.  I already signed one with an issue I sponsor.

There was an article in the newspaper "State Offers Rebate Checks".
Briefly, a rebate of up to $500. depending on income if you have
replaced either gas furnaces or oil and propane equipment with an 84
efficiency rating new furnace, etc. The number to call for an
application is 1-866-940-4676. I received an application in a few days
and the rebate period is between July 1, 2007 - April 15, 2009. Simple
application asking questions about yourself and the equipment you
installed. They also need a bill of sale or invoice. It is very self-
explanatory. The completed form must be notarized. Hope this info is
of value to anyone who has installed a new system IN CT within the timeframe
indicated above or who plans to install.

May I encourage anyone to post notices like this for their state.  I would not be getting this rebate had someone not been kind enough to post it on Freecycle in my area. I'm gonna have to get in touch with that person and offer to take her out to lunch. Yes indeedy!

                                Most dangerous chocolate cake ever...

                         We all know chocolate is a woman's best friend

 






5  MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE 

1 Coffee Mug 
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising) 
4 tablespoons sugar 
2 tablespoons baking cocoa 
1 egg 
3 tablespoons milk 
3 tablespoons oil 
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional) some nuts (optional) 
Small splash of vanilla 

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and  mix thoroughly. 
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well. 
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again. 
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high. 
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed! 

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT! 
(this can serve 2 if you want to
share!) 



And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? 
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!

I haven't heard of cooking cake in a microwave but I want to try it.  At least it will limit my hubb and I to one piece each.  If anyone tries it, please let us know how it came out.
