I'm back folks - needed dinner (low blood sugar called loud and clear!).

Jill - do you think the encounters are maybe a way of 'focusing' your attention so that no injury to you does occur?  Seems you've already made that connection by yourself (especially in the snow), but maybe you need to be more mindful during other times as well.

It is so easy to let other things occupy our minds "for just a second" (and that is sometimes all that it takes), that we might miss a turn we meant to take -- and most of us have done that without having a medical condition, just that we were preoccupied/distracted.

Do you just ever get the feeling that you are standing still ... not making any progress at all?

Wow, glad so many are reading and commenting, thank you.  I too make wrong turns and have to back track, while driving as well as in my life, no big deal.  We are all human, we all make mistakes and take turns that lead us down a dead end road, that is part of our learning experience isn't it?  What we must remember is to keep trying, keep on trucking, and keep on Loving, ourselves as well as others.  Don't be afraid of making a wrong turn, and for sure don't beat yourself up when you do and realize it, just take a deep breathe and turn around and head for the light.

Part of our focus, awareness must be that it is OK to make wrong turns, and learn to forgive ourselves, and love ourselves anyway.  The object is to keep trying, to not allow our fears of making a mistake stop us from discovering how to make the right turn for us.  Fear dulls our focus, it aids in making more mistakes because we become apprehensive about making choices about which road we want to try.  When Fear takes control of our wheel we tend to put on the brakes and this stops the flow of traffic and the flow of our own personal energy, and we know it does.   When we force ourselves to focus and make choices, even choices we later decide to change, we at least keep the flow moving, and when we move we learn, and grow, and we learn to accept both our mistakes and our successes.

Angell, as for our multiple purposes in life, that seems to be about not wanting to make choices as well.  I do understand what you say, there is so many points to focus upon where do we place the major portion of our attention for any particular situation?   Driving like life, takes practice in making choices about what is most important to us at any particular moment of our existence.  Do we watch for deer, street signs, other drivers, potholes, roadblocks, well how about all the above, and learning to allow the situation to show us what needs attention.  Being able to go with the flow, because we know we do not control what outside influences are going to do, all we can do is control our reaction to whatever life or the road is bringing our way to experience.  To think we can control when something or someone is going to pull out in front of us, is illusion, but we can sense when something is about to happen when we listen to our intuition, and our survival instincts.  The tools we have to operate, ie manuver through the intersections, include our five senses as well as our emotions, and feelings on a deeper level, a knowing.  For me it is about staying open to all the tools at my disposal, and believeing that I will make the best choice I am capable of making, so I do not hesitate in making my choices and at the same time I do not jump too rapidly in one direction due to my personal prejudices and biases.  Staying open to "all" possibilities presented is awareness and focusing upon the possibility that I freely choose is taking action toward learning.

Thanks again for all the great replys and thoughts shared here by all.  Blessings to us all and again Happy Birthday to you Angell.

Thanks Butch.  I see my own sweetness, compassionate nature, spiritual seeker on the road in you.

I so freely choose to be led by intuition and stay open.  I know whichever road I travel, I am safe in the hand of creator.

I hear you saying  that you like myself have finely honed your an acquiesce to the intuitive forces from which all paths truly begin.

Thanks Angell, yes in fact that is what this is all about, focusing upon the natural flow of Source energy through us into our life, and driving.  Becoming aware that we exist within an ocean of energy, known also as Chi.  So what is Chi, and where does it come from, and how we choose to use it in our lives is what I am interested in learning.

Can we accept that All Energy comes from Source/God/ the One?  That what religion calls soul is in fact a simple way of describing our energy connection with God/Source?  The Chi that flows through us, is pure Source energy, just like the energy that flows through animals, plants, rocks, water, all physical existence is held together by the flow of Source energy, the Chi.  The Earth has its own energy from Source as well, and so does the Sun, and the stars, and all the galaxies in the Universe, it is all in existence because of Source energy.  So we are each connected to one another, and nature, and Earth and the Universe by our Chi.

Now a rocks energy is very stable, its frequency is fairly constant, but in time it gets released and the rock begins to break apart.  A plants Chi is more stable than a humans but it is subject to its environment much more than a rocks.  A plant is also subject to emotions, believe it or not plants feel, they sense light, cold, and water, as well as human interaction with them.  So a plants Chi can be shown with inferred photography, and we can watch it change intensity as the energy surrounding it changes.  Example, someone can be threatening a plant with a knife or scissors and the plants energy, or Chi will change even though it is never touched, so a plant can sense its environment.  It has even been shown that a plant can sense when someone far away is speaking of it, about it or is even drawing pictures of it, so distance doesn't seem to be as important as once was thought.  Isn't it amazing that we take plants so for granted?  We grow them, and eat them, and yet most do not even take a moment to thank the plant for its gift to us.

Are you thinking I am totally crazy yet?   Well the guys with the straight jackets keep getting lost so they haven't found me yet, ::LOL.  Are you ready for some more, well here it comes, the ramble continues a bit more, OK?  Remember this is just my personal view of the world, although science is proving these new views of our reality check more rapidly today than ever before.  Is viewing outside the box so difficult?  For centuries religion killed and punished those who dared to express the thought that the world was round.  The world was flat, and the universe revolved around the earth, and anyone who thought differently was eliminated, and it took many lives lost before the Church had to finally admit that they were wrong, and they had to rethink their interpretation of scripture for a more benevolent concept of Gods Love and existence.

Anyway, to continue with this thought, lets just say we all have for years considered ourselves as the center of the Universe.  The world revolves around me, because without me there would be no world, I am the most important part of the Universe, RIGHT......Not.  Our egos want us to believe this, our egos want to be the most important thing in our lives, and our egos lie to us to continue to hold power within us.  Our ego uses our emotions, fear, pain, expectations, and desires to be important, and have others applaud us and worship us for our brilliance, our wisdom, our strength, our abilities, etc. that we too often become blind to our own world, and compassion for one another is hard to come by, isn't it?  Ego isn't bad, that is not what I am saying at all. What I am getting to is that we must use ego as a tool, just like any other tool Source has presented us with, to open our minds, and hearts to our true identity, a small part of the whole of Creation.   To use ego as this tool, we must become humble, and stop thinking we are special, or at least more special than the plants, and animals and any other piece of Creator.  Humans must find their humility, bend a knew and give thanks for all Creation, rather than view Creation as our domain, our toy to play with, our object to manage, rather than as our pardner in this existence we share with All.

Chi is the culmination of all energy flow into the physical plane, and it flows from nature, plants, animals, humans, etc.  So as humans we say we have consciousness, but do we use this consciousness to enable a more fulfilling life and energy flow?  Do we take this consciousness for granted, and say that nothing else has this consciousness, this special connection with Source that humans share, or can we change our minds and see consciousness more inclusively?  Once we can open our minds and hearts to accept all existence as part of ourselves, and Source/God we can begin to form a totally different connection with all existence.  Can you sit down and talk with a blade of grass, and know you are heard?  Can you listen to that deer, or cow, or snake and learn from it what existence feels like from their point of view.  Can you walk down a road and feel the trees and the underbrush and listen to the wind as it sings you a tune?  Can you feel the energy of the Sun as it raises above the horizon and its first ray of light touch your face, and know you are absorbing this energy into your self, for the Love of Source.  Changing our vision of our world isn't easy, because we have to take ourselves down off the pedestal of specialness that we have built up within our illusion of Self.  Reality as we have been taught is changing, IMHO, and we can ignore this change until it becomes "common" knowledge or we can join the force of change and add your energy to shining your light upon life in a new way.

So how does this reflect our driving skills, LOL?  If we can see the energy of the flow of traffic, and sense the direction of traffic, we can learn to rely more assuredly upon our intuition as to the direction we may find more safely.  The Chi of existence can be felt, as well as seen, upon the road of life, and by changing our vision of our relationship with all existence we can see Chi more clearly and from different view points.  What is important in life, making the right turn or seeing clearly who we are and why we wish to make the choices in life that we make?  Does any of this make sense to You?  We are all connected in more ways than we may like to admit to ourselves, and when we change we are in-fact changing the Chi of our world, our reality.

How would you change your Chi?  What would your change mean to me and to the All?  Thanks again for your thoughts and views on this subject.  Blessings to us all.

On a major highway not far from my home there was a squall arose and caused a 100 car pile up.  It closed the road for some time sorting it all out.  And miraculously there wasn't a single death and those send to hospital was for minor bruises and such.

In today's paper a lady from the middle of it said she just knew they would be hit from behind.  There they were in the middle of a mess and no where to turn to get out of it.

Driving like life?  If it is, maybe we need to learn a lesson here - rushing along ignoring speed limits and driving without concern for the weather will not get us where we are going.  Only being aware and cautious will get that done.

God bless, J

J,

If we are attuned to our intuition and learn to navigate using this as a life guide, I think we can avoid lots of stuff we'd prefer to not get into.

If I have the feeling of no or yes to something, I listen tomy gut feeling regardless of what my left brain logic might come back at me with.

Good morning all, and hello J, there are definitely times when we should approach life, and driving cautiously, no doubt about that, but that isn't most of the time.  No one got harmed did they, in that 100 vehicle pile up, so what was the lesson there if not perhaps to keep calm and know you are being looked after, loved, and that we are exactly where we are suppose to be.  What I know from my own life experience, when it is time for someone to pass off this flesh suit, that is exactly what will happen, and nothing anyone can do will stop it, prevent it, etc.   Example, a good friend of mine, servived Vietnam with us, road his motorcycle over to my house to visit, and we had a great dinner and a drink or two and when he left he looked at me and ask, "Why did we survive?"   At the stop light three blocks away, he came to stop and a semitruck didn't, and he was gone.  Now that did not make sense to me, why he passed that way after all the sh-t we had just come through for the last year, wasn't his time till right that moment and who am I to question Why?

Driving like life, thread is about hopefully showing different ways of looking at self and at your world.  My reality is mine, don't expect anyone to truly see it the way I do.  Your reality is your vision of the world, and yours is just as important as anyone elses.  Everyone has to be somewhere, right?   I do not wish to change your reality, pehaps just introduce you to some new possibilities of how reality may be viewed, the choice of vision is always free will.  I enjoy having had the benefit of having held many different views of reality and self during my short life experience, and changing that vision, we call growth.  The one thing that is always constant in life is change, and even the Universe resides within this truth, never in the same place twice.

What do we fear about life?  Death, that is the worse that could happen, right?  Wrong, failure to live this life because of our fear, is worse than death, because we continue existence with Creator after we die, but fear has held us back from experiencing our existence in this NOW, and that we can't get back.  It isn't that we make mistakes in life, or experience pain, and heartache, the greatest failure is NOT trying to live life to the best of our possibilities.   The biggest fear most of us hold, is that we will succeed, that we are as wonderful as we have been told, and we are as loved as Creator has shown us to be.  Why do we not believe?  Just like the little train that could, it starts within us, with our own thoughts, and our own awareness of our ability to flow Love, to be Love, and to allow our energy to join with creation and stop fighting, resisting the flow that is Creation.  I think I can, I think I can, I think I can, till one day I know I can, I can, I can, I can, thank God I can Love myself.

I wish I could share with each of you the JOY that I find in my existence.  I do not fear death, death is just opening the door so I can go home, death is like birth, a transition of my energy from one state into another, all within Creators Love.  There is no hell folks, except the one we create for ourselves right here right now.  There is no judgement of sin, except within our own hearts right here right now.  Creators Love is freely given, the bible calls it Gods Grace, and we can never earn it, and we do not have to believe one way or follow anyones path to deserve it, except our own heart knowing path which we all have at birth, and take with us when we leave.   We each have this Joy within us, this knowing, this vision of Self connectedness with the Universe, Creator, each other, and all existence.  My writing is just my humble attempt at this sharing of Joy, I hope it does not offend you, that is not the intent, but I do not control how anyone recieves this message.  It is my heartsong, and I know we each have a heartsong to sing, and if mine doesn't resonate within you, then it is best left behind.  My only wish if for all of us to live our lives as happily and joyfully and lovingly as we can possibily accomplish.

Do animals communicate with us?  Do they bring us messages and show us Love?  I believe the answer is yes, but I would enjoy some sharing their stories/experiences of how they have known this experience in their lives, please.  My totem animal is the hummingbird, does anyone else know what their totem is?

This brought to mind a poem I had written at the begining of the year.  It may not be quite as elegantly put as what you all have written here, but it is called Life's a Highway...just thought that was interesting, that I compared the two just two weeks or so ago.  I wont post it here, because I dont want to bore those who arent interested.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know How mysterious are his ways..

Praise be to God

Peace
