My journey into awakening This is my first foray into "blogging", so forgive my inexperience!  I thought I'd first write about my spiritual journey in this lifetime.  It's only recently that I've really begun to seriously study spirituality.  I was raised Christian Episcopalian and attended Sunday School as a child.  In my early adult life, I found a church I liked and attended regularly for some time.  I did always feel that someting was missing, though.  I married a man who was not at all religious and hence stopped attending church.  Later in my life, I tried to return to the Christian fold and dragged my family to countless churches.  None of them were "right" and we never settled in.  My current husband is dedicately "Christian", but not a practicing type.  He just throws it around for weight.

In February 2007, I trained in Reiki healing (as I've battled major illness in my life), and this other world was opened up for me.  Spirit guides, the Universe, God as much more than I'd been taught...it was all new and fascinating!  Hence began my actual life, in my opinion.

It's funny to come to this realization, because now I look back and remember the times when Spirit was calling to me and trying to help me realize my Life Path.  In my mid-20's, I was feeling very lost in my life, hating my job and career path and not finding that I had many close friends.  I saw a special on TV that was a movie made from one of Shirley MacLaine's books.  It REALLY moved me....I mean I couldn't stop thinking about it.  However, this was long before the internet age and I didn't find any answers at the library, so I abandoned the thoughts eventually.  Later, someone lent me a book my Rosemary Altea.  The  same thing happened (absolute fascination) and I even tried to reach her through her publisher without luck.

After that , I sunk down into my meaningless life and slogged on for 20 more years.  I am joyful now to have made the connections that were missing before, but I still have a lot to learn and a lot of time to make up!  I'm so glad to have found this forum of like-minded people and hope that we can grow together!
