Featherinthewind....

Love your sweet godwink story!

It strikes me that there are more Godwink Links between family members...perhaps something in the genes.

Thanks for sharing. Your story will bless others.

I love to read all your God winks they are so inspiring to me.  I have many God wink moments in my life and one I would like to share is about my nephew.  About twenty years ago when he was 18 he came to my home one day feeling depressed about his life and troubles with his parents.  His mother had divorced his father when he was just a baby and the only father he knew was his step father.  He was at  a place in life where he did not know where to turn.  I did not know he was not aware that he was not his step fathers son.  I said to him,  have you ever thought about reconnecting with your father?  He looked at me like I was totally off my rocker and just kept talking like I had not said anything.  So I thought to myself that he just didn't even want to consider such a thought and we went on from there.  Well the next day I got a call from him and he said,  Aunt Pat....... you won't believe what happened today.  I said what?    He said he remember yesterday when you asked me about reconnecting with my father?  Well he said, I didn't know what you meant so I just thought you didn't know what you were talking about.  This morning when I  was eating breakfast when there was a knock at the door , my mother went to the door and guess who was there?  It was his real father and he knew his son was 18 now and could make his own mind up about him so he just decided to drop by and reconnect with his son.  My nephew still reminds me of this and they did reconnect and spend lost time together.  He had never known he had another real father out there and was so glad he had found him.

Okay here is another Godwink I have many more given to me when God wants me to have it.       Walking 3 feet off the ground

When I've got the blues and feeling down, I think about the days I walked 3 feet off the ground.  The sun shinning in my face is God above smiling down, is what helps me walk 1,2,3 feet off the ground.

The time my wife said" I do," to a love so true made me feel like walking 1,2,3 feet off the ground.  The days my children were born, the miracle of birth is what made me feel like walking 3 feet off the ground.  With the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost  they helped me and my family the most to walk 1,2,3 feet off the ground.

But when the sun shines down tears of joy fall to the ground, when I have that feeling of walking 3 feet off the ground.  Where I didn't care if my feet even made a sound.  If you ever had that feeling once in your life, it would be so profound that if you died that moment you could of had a better life.
Each time the sun shinned down was Gods love and blessing hitting you to make you walk 1,2,3 feet off the ground.

Walking on the pier head the other day I began to pray for the catch of the day.  I caught one with my simple prayer, just then I got that feeling like God was smiling down on me to help me see I was walking 1,2,3 feet off the ground.  My feet not even making a sound.  Got it good with my wife and kids, and God above shinning down his love.

If I died just then it couldn't be any better my friends.  Without any  drugs or alcohol to be found this was genuine walking 3 feet off the ground.  Now how would that sound?  Where your soul soars above yourself, and you know what's important, your spiritual wealth.  It's something no money can buy, only through the holy trinity, that's why I'm walking 3 feet off the ground.

There would be no crime if they had a sip of the divine wine called God’s love that made me walk 3 feet above.  The evil that people do would all fall through if they felt that feeling of walking 1,2,3 feet above with the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.  People forget or don’t care anymore that my sweet Lord is watching  all of us from shore to shore.  Why are we here, and what do we most fear? Hi, I am nos482 don't let the name scare you I am a Christian and have many Godwink stories and paintings of the events I will share two with you. It is all made into poetry and sent around the world on youtube and booksie.com.  Here goes.               An Angel Sighting

As my daughter lay shaking and convulsing on the floor from a seizure so bad that she never had before.

I said the strongest prayer I’ve ever said for my 7 year old daughter laying on the floor.

Not knowing weather she’d live or die I prayed.

God why take her life take mine instead.

While I dialed 911 for the ambulance to come I prayed.

Take my life my all, her life has just begun.

After that prayer the ambulance arrived, they gave her shots and she’s alive.

Days went by and I told her what I prayed.

She said “Okay daddy, I wasn’t worried there was an angel above our heads.

Bright silver dust dropped from her hands and landed on me didn’t you see?

As you prayed so strong there was an angel there all along”.

Hello!I'm Judy Morrill in  Virginia. I picked up When God Winks At You a couple of years ago in an airport for something to read on a long trip and couldn't put it down.I made a mental list of the numerous winks from God I could identify at the time and thought about it a lot for awhile and then forgot about it.

Recently I was forced to retire before I had planned to do so and the bottom dropped put of the market before I could do anything to manage the 401K I have. Then in February my horse  and confidant Risky became gravely ill with liver failure and the kindest thing I could do for him was to let him go. He was 28 years old.

I had decided not to get another horse as I was worried about my ability to afford one on a very limited income. Three days after he died a friend came to me to tell me of someone she knew with a horse in a difficult situation. The horse was being boarded and was not being taken care of properly. In fact he was starving to death because he was being seriously bullied by other horses and the people responsible for his care were not makeing sure he got to eat nor were they feeding them properly in the first place. To make matters worse the horse suffered a wound  that needed attention . The owner of the horse had been extremely busy and hadn't seen the horse in awhile and was shocked to find him in such poor condition. She had a vet look at the horse and he told her she should move him to a place that she could be sure that he would be properly cared for. She would pay his expenses if I could keep him for her. Since I am a sucker for a needy horse I agreed. "What's his name ?" I asked. "Big Mac" was the reply. I was startled. Big Mac was a horse I owned who was the reason I moved to the place in the country where I live today. I was living in Richmond and boarding Big Mac who was a beautiful paint quarter/Tennessee Walker cross. Big Mac died from complications of a severe colic in 1999 just two weeks after I had signed the closing papers on my little ranch. I never got to move Big Mac here but found Risky who needed a home.  My new Big Mac has been here a couple of months as is looking better everyday. My old Big Mac  and God have both given me a wink.

My name is Trish and reside in Texas married mother of 3 and grandmother of 9. I have to say life really is going well for me because I have much faith in God and the many things He has given me. Have been sole caregiver to my husband of 38 years since 1991, and at times it can be hard but I know God will always be beside me guiding me along.  And the wonderful writings on Godwinks has given me the strength to go on.

So many things have happened in my life and up until reading Mr. Rushnell's first book I could not really understand what alot of them meant. But now I know that God is talking to me in His way and time. Started myself a journal and any thing that happens wether big or small I enter into the journal. Its kind of fun to go back and read them because it helps me to stay close to God.

Back in 2002 I lost my Mother to cancer it was a very hard thing to get over but with the help of my faith in God I got by. Only a week within my Mother's passing I started compoesing poetry and since then have written 45 of them. I tuly believe that when the Lord took Mother to be with Him he gave me the gift of writing as a way of remembering the good times that I had with my Mother. I still miss her alot but know that she is in a better place and suffering no more.

Then in 2007 I lost my Father he took his own life by committing suicide I know in my heart that he just could not live without Mom but they are together now. So many say to me that I am a very strong person and guess in a way I am but I find myself crying alot too. What also helps me keep going is knowing that I am not the only one suffering with things in my life so I try to give support to others who may need it.

So in closing I have one more thing to say and that is thank you my God for all your winks. And to Mr. Rushnell for all his wonderful writings and words of inspiration.

Blessings to all,

pattieanne51/Trish

Hi, I'm Pam, from Shawnee, OK, and just finding this story was an absolute Godwink. I had just been discussing with my son an event in my life that was unexpected and at first, upsetting, then God gave me the realization that He had reason for it, and even if I didn't understand why, HE certainly did, and that Faith would see me through my own impatience. I can't wait to read and share stories with the others in this group.  It is such a positive motivator and wonderful reminder to Let go an Let God. Hope to hear from the other members, too.

Hi...I'm Sherry F.  and I live in West Virginia.  For years I have believed that things are more than just coincidence.  For some reason, lately I have been thinking about the subject more; probably out of boredom of the everyday day to day life. (I haven't worked since my daughter was born over 4 years ago) It's fun and interesting when coincidences happen.  But when you get into the habit of noticing them, especially if you notice really small ones, you can't even read something without coming across a word that is spoken (on the tv, radio, etc) at the same time as you are reading it lol.  I don't really have a story to post other than the average ones that happen to us all (ones that cause us to meet people who become meaningful, or those that start relationships for example). But it's nice to find a group based on this topic, to read the stories.  Even when reading about a Godwink that happened to someone else, it still reminds us of the connection we all have, both with God and with each other, and how you never know who you will cross paths with, or when.  That adds a little more excitement to my life lol

Hi, my name is Carol Kiparisus and I live in Lexington, S.C. I began working with BellSouth in 1970 right out of high school and retired 30 years later. When I retired I thought I would have the rest of my life to spend with my son but it didn't work out that way. He was killed in a one car auto collision March 9,2003 at the age of 26. I am a member at Laurel Baptist, involved with Families of Highway Fatalities(connects families together after a loss on SC highways) have G-Children from my two S-Daughters, love working in the yard. Since the death of my son, John, my walk with the Lord has been AWESOME!!! Never could I have imagined how he would work in my life. When I started getting messages, I began calling them my GodWinks. God gave me exactly what I needed when I needed it. He gave me the ability to write poetry during the first few years after John's death and with my GodWinks I knew I was suppose to share them with others. In 2008, "WORDS FROM GOD THROUGH A GRIEVING MOTHER'S HEART" was published. I pray for healing for others that read it and it will show others that we can continue our lives, even with a hole in it. As difficult as these past 6 years have been I've opened my heart and mind for all things that are sent to me by God. I have survived the worst part of my life, without Gods direction, encouragement, comfort and love I really don't know where I would be.

Hi, I’m SQuire Rushnell⎯ and yes, that’s a capital Q. I am excited to bring GODWINK STORIES™ to Beliefnet in twice-weekly video vignettes that will lift your heart and make you smile. I started this group to encourage you all to pay attention to the many ways in which God winks at us every day – leading us to where we need to be in life, connecting us with the right people and opportunities, at the right time. Please introduce yourself, and let me get to know a little more about you. And please come back to share your own wonderful godwink stories.
