A "passenger" (re: an off-duty pilot) helped land a plane at an airport in Dublin after the first officer became ill while en route.

No word yet on whether or not the "passenger" had a drinking problem. *splash*

the pilot in command... is the captain. there's also a first officer ready to take over if something happens to the captain. this article makes no mention of how BOTH captain and first officer became incapacitated.


anyway, all they had to do was enable Cat IIlb landing and the plane would bring itself in without anyone in the cockpit.

the best way to usher in the new paradigm... is to sit back and watch the problems grow bigger... because the fundamental change from self interest to collective interest does not automagically happen within those wielding power and control.
