For some, the massacres of a whole town of African-Americans is still within living memory. At least that wasn't done for reasons of state security by the national government, like Syria did. Now they taste the fruit of what they sowed when they killed.

The wiped out AA town referred to was known as Rosewood, FL.  The long and disturbing history of the lynchings and massacres of free Blacks by good Christian Whites, primarily in the South, but not limited to it, is a sad piece of history that few Americans know much about.

Deplorable actions in he past by various people, states, religions, groups etc, do not justify others doing the same thing today.

It's never justified, but, there's also no excuse for allowing the media to dictate the focus of your outrage and the limits of your knowledge of what's going on in the world.  It's not just the past, either.  There are massacres going on right now that aren't getting the attention this does.  Do you  (generic "you") ever ask why, or do you just don't care?

No excuse? Excuse me...

The point here is, pointedly expressed, that savages don't have the qualifications to use the internet. It requires at least one semi-educated half-wit to beat them into a frenzy over a little heap of shit produced 8,000 miles away.

There is a reason why there exists such a discipline as journalism. Not everyone is capable of putting things into perspective, and certainly educated experts are more trustworthy than your local village Imam, or some Coptic buddy of Terry Jones.

tl;dr

Not knowing your history makes you bound to repeat it . . . or, at least, it makes you sound ignorant on message boards.

Thank you, that needed to be said.

I agree.  Jesus would not approve.

Journalism is no longer a discipline; journalists are rarely experts.  I do agree that there are too many half-wits that allow what they see on the Internet to whip them up into a frenzy.  Message boards are full of them.

Fair enough. The one's who do harm to innocents are not really Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc either! That is the real lesson here.

You can call the devil an angel but he isn't one after he becomes an evildoer.  It doesn't matter what he used to be or what he calls himself. His own action belies him.
