The ankh is the Egyptian symbol for the "key of life. " It's fitting to use the ankh as a replacement for a symbol of death - the cross.

Science is not an "appeal to authority." Science is about the truth, about facts, not authorities. If you don't like the facts, come up with some different ones and then support those with more facts. You've so far presented a lot of beliefs but not one fact. Since you have not presented any facts; the problem must lie elsewhere.

Let me add my thanks too Stardove. I'm from a Pentecostal background, so am kind of used to that style of preaching.

Me too...RE. And I would like to say that those (you know who you are) who are not EMOTIONAL about it...well, I just don't know what to say? This IS an emotional issue...leaving emotions out of it would be rather, well, stupid, IMHO. People are not robots...they have emotions...feel love...dissappointment...joy...sorrow...etc. And IT DOES NOT MATTER which side of the sexual attraction scale you fall...these are all EMOTIONS that we all FEEL...

And that's the EQUALITY that I have been trying to get a certain person to understand...but with no positive results, I'm afraid.
