The beleif in polytheism and idolatry carries the same penalty as this kind of behavior in Biblical Law.

Does that mean we ought to zap Hindus, Buddhists an Animists along with gays and lesbians?

For those who have faith, no explanation is neccessary.
For those who have no faith, no explanation is possible.

St. Thomas Aquinas

If one turns his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9

Don't give him ideas.

What'd be nice if God sent pastors like that to do an, uh, "inspection tour" of Hell.  Might last awhile, though.  Should probably bring a big bottle of Gatorade.

Knock and the door shall open.  It's not my fault if you don't like the decor.

He's already in Hell, IMO.

An openly bisexual Satanist at that...

Really, what worries me about this lunatic is not that he feels this way but that he feels entitled to voice such opinions in public. Really, switch "gay" for "black" or "hispanic" and ask yourself if he'd still feel entitled to voice such an opinion. And don't even get me started on the mouthbreathers who agree with him.

There are too many people in the United States that want to bring back the burning times. So they can kill all the "types" of people they hate.

Oh and Ebon your post really hits the point

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

He's not really "in public." He's in some obscure church somewhere, probably in a town with a name like Broken Wind, speaking to a small congregation that is probably mostly relatives from family tree that resembles a telephone pole.

Huff Post apparently likes to hunt for footage of preachers saying the most off-the-wall things imaginable, and then post them on the Interent, as if they actually had relevance.

And "gay" is no more acceptable to slam to a wider audience this days than any of the other things you mentioned. Gay isn't the "new black" -- it's the new poster child for all things warm and fuzzy. It's practically a requirement these days for every new T.V. show to have a gay character, and that's just one example of how hard and heavy (no pun intended) "gay" is being marketed these days.

If you're looking for the prejorative of the day, consider Muslims. They truely are the new n*ggers. Plenty of respectable people, left and right, have no problem berating them, and meet little protest when they do.
