How about this:

The proposal from Republicans in the Lone Star state makes the following related to the party's view of homosexuality:

There's much more out there to show that Republicans are rabidly homophobic. If that were not the case the Republican politicians running for office would not be showcasing their hatred as a way to get votes.

Absolutely. The Democrats, and other progressives, have for many decades held the moral high ground over the Republican Regressives.
