This is something new.
Is Egypt planning on replaying the French Revolution? Saudis recall ambassador, shut embassy in Egypt By REUTERS 04/28/2012 19:11 Demonstrations outside the Saudi embassy in Cairo over arrest of Egyptian national in Riyadh prompt diplomatic row. DUBAI - Saudi Arabia said on Saturday it had recalled its ambassador from Egypt "for consultations" and closed its embassy and consulates in the country for security reasons after protests against the kingdom's arrest of an Egyptian lawyer. . . . On Friday around 1,000 protesters demonstrated outside the mission, demanding the release of Gezawi and other Egyptians held in Saudi jails, witnesses said. "Oh Saudi ambassador, we will respond to every lash with a hundred!" they chanted, some of them showing their anger by removing their shoes and waving them at the building - a gesture deeply insulting in Islamic culture. . . . full article: www.jpost.com/MiddleEast/Article.aspx?id... |

Good. If the Saudi government feels their security is compromised in "New Egypt" at least they did not send armies using this as an excuse!! This is what nations do.

Interesting article - I wonder which is the greater amount, that 2.7 billion, or the money those Egyptian employees in KSA send back to Egypt? |

>>>>>> Why do you ask? Egyptians have issues of policies of Saudi Arabia and Israel. But it is duty of host countries to Protect Enbassies there. Since Egypt is going towards democracy and it's instituations needs a bit of re-tooling, it is OK to be safe than sorry. I support all parties involved. Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Israel (When it shut down for a limited time). In the mean time, I hope Saudis and Israelis will revisit it's policies to refelct aspirations of Arab streets.
