Evolution of multiple genome mutations during long-term persistent infection by vesicular stomatitis virus

JJ Holland, EA Grabau, CL Jones… - Cell, 1979 - Elsevier

Abstract Persistent infection of BHK 21 cells was established with cloned vesicular stomatitis
virus plus purified DI particles and maintained in vitro for over 5 years. After 1 year of
persistence, the infectious virus RNA genome had evolved several oligonucleotide map ...

Episodic evolution of pyrin in primates: human mutations recapitulate ancestral amino acid states

P Schaner, N Richards, A Wadhwa… - Nature genetics, 2001 - nature.com

Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF; MIM 249100) is an autosomal recessive disease
characterized by recurrent attacks of fever with synovial, pleural or peritoneal inflammation
1. The disease is caused by mutations in the gene encoding the pyrin protein 2, 3, 4. ...

Electrophile and oxidant damage of mitochondrial DNA leading to rapid evolution of homoplasmic mutations

E Mambo, X Gao, Y Cohen, Z Guo… - Proceedings of the …, 2003 - National Acad Sciences

Abstract mtDNA mutations occur in a wide variety of degenerative diseases and cancer.
mtDNA seems to be more susceptible to DNA damage and consequently sustains higher
rates of mutation than does nuclear DNA (nDNA). Many of the somatic mtDNA mutations ...

Evolution of human influenza A viruses in nature: sequential mutations in the genomes of new H1N1.

JF Young, U Desselberger, P Palese - Cell, 1979 - ukpmc.ac.uk

The genetic variation of the new pandemic H1N1 influenza A viruses isolated in 1977 was
analyzed by two-dimensional oligonucleotide fingerprinting and RNA sequencing.
Differences were observed in the fingerprints of the RNAs of these viruses, and analysis of ...

Nucleophosmin mutations in de novo acute myeloid leukemia: the age-dependent incidences and the stability during disease evolution

WC Chou, JL Tang, LI Lin, M Yao, W Tsay… - Cancer research, 2006 - AACR

Abstract Nucleophosmin (NPM) mutations have been found in a significant proportion of
adults with de novo acute myeloid leukemia (AML), especially in those of a normal
karyotype. These results provide a basis for studies of the pathogenesis in this specific ...

Adaptive evolution that requires multiple spontaneous mutations: mutations involving base substitutions

BG Hall - Proceedings of the National Academy of …, 1991 - National Acad Sciences

Abstract A previous study has demonstrated that adaptive missense mutations occur in the
trp operon of Escherichia coli. In this study it is shown that, under conditions of intense
selection, a strain carrying missense mutations in both trpA and trpB reverts to Trp+ 10 (8) ...

Sympatric speciation via habitat specialization driven by deleterious mutations

TJ Kawecki - Evolution, 1997 - JSTOR

Theoretical studies have suggested that the evolution of habitat (host) races, regarded as a
prelude to sympatric speciation, requires strong trade-offs in adaptation to different habitats:
alleles that improve fitness in some habitats and have deleterious effects of similar ...

A test of neutral molecular evolution based on nucleotide data

RR Hudson, M Kreitman… - Genetics, 1987 - Genetics Soc America

... under the neutral model, the rate of fixation of mutations and the level of standing variation within
populations are both increasing functions of the neutral mutation rate. In fact, under the neutral
theory, polymorphism is regarded as a transient phase of molecular evolution. ...

[PDF] Unraveling the processes of microsatellite evolution through analysis of germ line mutations in barn swallows Hirundo rustica

CR Primmer, N Saino, AP Møller… - … Biology and Evolution, 1998 - users.utu.fi

Direct analysis of mutation events provides important clues for understanding the processes
of microsatellite evolution. A barn swallow Hirundo rustica (AAAG) n tetranucleotide repeat
locus displayed hypervariability and hypermutability, with 44 mutations observed among ...

Evolution strategies–A comprehensive introduction

HG Beyer… - Natural computing, 2002 - Springer

... variable(s), ie, the mean step-size(s) of the mutations, the difference between a plus and a comma
version should fade away. 2. On parallel computers with λ processors the set of offspring could
easily be evaluated at the same time, thus speeding up the evolution substan- tially ...

Stopping now. 57, but if you read some of these and want more, just google 'mutations and evolution' and then click the link for 'scholarly articles'. That will tend to filter out the bullshit that you probably wouldn't detect at your current level of familiarization with the topic.

Can you now drop the mutations adding up mantra now, 57? d_p_m has given you what you've repeatedly asked for. It is up to you to educate yourself on the issue. Continuing to belligerently chanting your mantra will only further damage the cause of Christianity in this forum.

I still can't figure out how mutations wouldn't add up.

You know, if I were a Christian lurker sitting on the fence between the ToE and YEC, your repeated demands for an explanation would surely convince me that YECs had nothing to offer in the way of persuasion.

You've probably converted a lot of YECs into evos.

There are three sides to every story: your side, my side, and the truth.

God is just a personification of reality, of pure objectivity.
