I should think that would be just about as much fun as bashing human babies against the wall as was the practice in biblical times. |

I know traditionaly people who live in or near the artic circle eat alot of seals. There is not alot of edible vegetation in the part of the world so they eat a high meat diet lots of fish and seals, etc. |

I hunt deer, pronghorn and elk in my home state, primarily for the meat. I might also hunt adult seals for meat, with a rifle, if I lived in that part of the world. I don't think I could bring myself to bash a baby seal's brains in. Maybe I'm just too sensitive. |

Yeah... too many Disney movies, makes the thought of chowing down on baby animals too much... I was hunting with a guy once who got too jumpy and killed a fawn. I agreed to take the carcass. It was excellent meat. But sheesh, what a Bambi killer! |

Call it Bambi, after some stupid old Disney movie, and the whole practise of killing an animal that has not posed a threat to you, and whose flesh you do not need to survive, and the whole process becomes just one big joke to some of you, I guess. If this could be thought of as the typical human reaction to unnecessary killing of anything, then we're a callous, cold-hearted race. And not a 'master race' by any stretch of the imagination. |
