Zimmerman and his friend make a mockery of the concept of "self defense".  Zimmerman had no authority to go after a kid with skittles and a canned drink, except for the hoodie and the fact that Zimmerman suspected him of being bad.     Start a fight, claim self defense, get to kill somebody with impunity.  That doesn't even make sense.

Jeez! 'Recent' is relative, but point noted. I'm certain that in this day and age of the iPhone, there are some 'Recent' photos of Martin by his friends other than that 3-4 year earlier photo they are using in all the newscasts.

Um....what if the Grand Jury does NOT return a true bill? Is Florida going to go up in flames?

Why wait to decry what happened when the offense was a guy without authority racially profiled and chased down an unarmed teenager half his size and who was not armed only because the aggressor was personally suspicious of the teenager?   


The shooter should have been arrested and a police investigation carried out, just like it is for every other criminal act, just like it is for every officer-involved shooting.   If Martin threw a punch at Zimmerman, that was the act of self defense.  Zimmerman is obviously a macho man.
