It is about race from start to finish. How dare we elect a President with a black face ?? And danged if we didn't elect a Catholic President in 1960..............(Of course the current prelates of the RCC claim he wasn't Catholic enough : I've had it with Dolan and crowd. And with th whole ultra-right wingos.)

Yes that is exactly what it is about. Almost everyone who does not like Obama is because he is the wrong colour.

A tyrant must put on the appearance of uncommon devotion to religion. Subjects are less apprehensive of illegal treatment from a ruler whom they consider god-fearing and pious. On the other hand, they do less easily move against him, believing that he has the gods on his side. Aristotle

Jane, I totally agree with you.  I just wonder why no one is protesting Romney's birth father.  (Which is why I winked.)

Grand-daddy Romney took his wives to Mexico to be able to do his own thing south of the border.

I know Romney's parents were considered U.S. Citizens, but wasn't Willard Mit Romney born in Mexico? I thought he said that the other day on the news? You would think that would be an uproar over that, but he is the right shade of white.

It was George Romney, Mitt's father who was born in Mexico.

Romney (George) was born to American citizens living in a Mormon church colony in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Even though he wasn’t born in a United States territory or state, George Romney was given citizenship at birth because he was born to American citizens, essentially granting him the status of a natural-born citizen.

Willard Mitt Romney:

Romney was born in Detroit, Michigan.[1] He was the youngest child of George W. Romney, who by 1948 had become an automobile executive, and Lenore Romney (née LaFount). His mother was a native of Logan, Utah, and his father had been born in a Mormon colony in Chihuahua, Mexico, to American parents.[2][3][4] His recent ancestors include immigrants from England, Germany, Canada, and Scotland.[5][6][7]

Has anyone asked Oily Taintz if Romney is eligible to be president since he has a Mexican father?

Also why is it Romney's father was able to run for President of the USA?

How Mitt Romney’s Mexican-Born Father Was Eligible to be President

It is clear that naturalized citizens cannot qualify for the office of president, but there is no clarification in the U.S. Constitution pertaining to people born to U.S. citizens in a foreign country, and there is no definition of a “natural-born citizen.” Some experts have challenged the idea that foreign-born children of U.S. citizens are “natural-born” because citizenship is conferred upon them after birth.

Not to take the thread off topic, but since Romney's father was born in Mexico, doesn't this somehow relate to President's Obama's father's birth. Wink

More at link.

President Obama was born in the US..................period.

My grandfather was born in the US and his parents were born in Ireland.

Orly is out of order. She probably dislikes having a President who is half-white.
