Do you think that teenage sexting should be illegal/ be considered distributing child porn? I was listening to the radio this morning and there is a city in my province where aparently quite a few teens have been doing this. The police did not lay any charges, but simply went to the teens home and informed them of the seriousness of what they were doing, which I think is good. Here in canada I am unaware of what the consequences of teenage sexting. I've heard that in the States that the consequences are/ can be that teenage sexting can get those teens who send, and those who receive the sext branded as sex offenders. Think about this though. If the teens knew, and more importantly understood the seriousness of their sexting (in the sence of what the consequences are), they would NOT have sexted. What is the point though of the consequences of teenage sexting (the teens who send, and the teens who receive the sext) being labelled a sex offender? I honestly believe that teenage sexting has no relation to adulthood child porn distribution or that sort of stuff. Why ruin a teen's life for something that they probably never even knew was illegal in the first place? Yes it might be a stupid idea for a teen to sext, but still.
