They also have some of my friends on their hate list too.

All my friends did was to say this country is going to hell for the political, religious and social evils that prevail here.

Do your friends believe that there are people who don't deserve civil liberties based on their age, disability, gender, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation? What is the reason the SPLC gives for their presence on the list? If your friends can prove that they were listed based on false information, the SPLC will remove them.

We're  not necessarily talking about pushing Shariah Law on ALL Americans,  we're talking about allowing Shariah Law to merge its way into local  Muslim communities, etc.  When certain "practices" become a mainstay,  voters have a greater tendency to vote them into everyday practice.  Religious  practice, of any kind, must remain personal and "outside" of civil  discourse.

So what are you doing to repeal laws based in Christianity?

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize what you heard was not what I meant...

Islamic ethics is based on the belief that all intrinsic values which make the moral order flow from Islam. Morals cannot be broadbased unless they are motivated by firmness of faith. Religion provides the standard for the assessment and judgment of moral values. In the absence of religion, morals are bound to wither in a value-destroying cosmos.

How is this different from Christianity?  Especially the more conservative aspects of it.  Pat Robertson and Fred Phelps as examples.  Or the doofuses cited in the OP.

There is no Christian Sharia.   But if there was I would be opposed to it.

Both Judiaism and Islam have religious "laws".

There is no Christian "Sharia" explicitly defined in Christian scripture.

But at various times in the past, various Christian groups have attempted to set up something of the sort.

The Puritans under Cromwell, or in New England, come to mind.

So the idea that such a thing might be attempted by certain Christians in our day is not totally without basis.

Just because it is not called Sharia does not mean it does not exist. Or that some Christians don't want it to exist.  The reason the founding fathers erected a wall between church and state was because they personally saw the effects of Sharia, Christian style.

Not to mention 1500 years of cozy relationships between various churches and the kingdoms of Europe.

They are a Christian video company. They make films about Bible prophecy, UFO's and Conspiracies, have for well over 30 years. They are better known for calling mainstream evangelicalism bullsh*t.  Many churches think they're heretical.

So, its Islamaphobic to be against Shariah Law?  If so, then Muslims, who support Shariah Law, have got a real problem in this country.  And by the way, what does him being Jewish have anything to do with it?  It would seem he was described as being equally "bigoted".

>>>>>>>>> Yes it is. Since no American Islamic organizations are asking for Sharia law in the US. There is NO reason to talk about it since NO ONE is asking for it!!

The only people are shouting about Sharia law are non-Muslims with no knowledge of Islam or sharia law.

Most of these "Activists" are part of the group who made the case for attacking Iraq and now working hard to make Iran the next target!!

The nutjob from Norway (Brevic) mentioned some of these "Activists" in his insane "Manifesto".
