The poster Callielou has started a gallery in memory of AgnosticSpirit.

It's worth visiting.

Thanks Callielou.

This is very sad news.    AS wrote credible posts from the trenches.  I will miss her

Bush's "de-Bathification program" eliminated all vestiges of Sunni power in Iraqi society and set the stage for the Sunni insurrection against American occupation and the new Shiite-led government. Bush disbanded the entire Sunni-dominated Iraqi Army and bureaucracy. He didn't change it. He didn't make it more inclusive of Shiites and Kurds. He just disbanded it. It is no accident that two of the top commanders of today's ISIL are former commanders in the Saddam-era Iraqi military.

How totally sad.  What a lovely gracious person who knew just the right way to debate a subject.  So sad.

Wow ... I just saw this.  It was posted while I was taking a long extended break from this place.  I've always wondered what happened to Agnosticspirit [ie., I've missed her] .... she was about as good as it gets.  Now I know.

I'm sure she is smiling down on all of us ... now knowing all truth.

Although It's been a year ... I know how these things go .. and know it's not to late to say Gods Speed to her family and friends.

Tomorrow will be the one-year anniversary of AS's passing.

She still lives with us as long as we remember her.

What is your best memory of Agnosticspirit?

She never directly or indirectly insulted anyone.

It was always just interesting discussion.

Just returning from a few months sabbatical due to various life issues, and this thread is a perfect place to visit first and to post to first.

AG [Virgie], the other day has been one year my old cyber-friend.
Been thinking of you thanks to the hay.
Mark just asked what's our best memory of you
For me, there are quite of few thanks to some of the things we had in common, but the one I hold most dear, was the day we learned you passed on from our world.
The shock of it was hard just as it was for your real family, it was the same for your Bnet family.
As I learned of your passing, I was sitting by my window and watching our work crew roll up our hay. And from that point, wherever I drive now during the hay seasons, and see the farmers putting up their hay, it always makes me think of you my old friend.

You've truly been missed in so many ways.
Here's to you girl, I raise my glass.
L'Chaim!
