Of course, it's not exactly world-shaking news, but, nevertheless, it is news, and Sir Peter is resting comfortably in Wellington Hospital after surgery for a stomach ulcer: www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/45893... filmpopper.com/sir-peter-jackson-in-hosp... This means that filming on The Hobbit will be postponed yet again. But the good news, for Sir Peter at least, is that, since hospitals are free here, he won't have to pay for his stay! BTW: For those unfamiliar with New Zealand, Wellington is the capital of this country. |

Hmmm...I read on a website for Tolkien fans that filming of The Hobbit would not be postponed. Fortunately, he is expected to make a full recovery. |

I'd read about it the day he was admitted. I fully understand with all the stress he's had to endure lately. I wish him a very speedy recovery.
The dwarves of yore made mighty spells,
While hammers fell like ringing bells In places deep, where dark things sleep, In hollow halls beneath the fells. For ancient king and elvish lord There many a gloaming golden hoard They shaped and wrought, and light they caught To hide in gems on hilt of sword. - J.R.R. Tolkien |
