It helped my son say his first complete sentence. He was a late talker and spoke unclearly because of an articulation problem. But one day around age 2 1/2 he came out with "Sesame Street is a production of the Children's Television Workshop!" Of course, it didn't sound like that, but after he repeated it a few times, I understood it from the rhythm and said it back to him. His face lit up with joy, and his talking improved from that day on.

I learned about death.

I learned that just helping someone is more important than giving them stuff (The Alligator King and His Seven Sons).

I learned to appreciate all jobs, no matter how bad (thanks, Grover)!

And as I get older, Oscar's worldview looks better and better :D

I learned a little Spanish.

I learned that there are lots of types of people.

I learned that just because someone's called a monster doesn't mean they're all mean.

Some of those songs are really stuck in my head... and thats not a bad thing

I had a lot of trouble with learning to count.. and the repition from their counting songs, helped... plus sometimes it did skip counting, and that helped me with math.
