I believe Farrah's finest hour was when she made the decision to document her losing battle with cancer. Talk about a profile of courage... Farrah's Story

This is the second, repeat thread exactly like this in this section, but sense yall started this after I posted abot Farrah, makes me feel like my post has some kind of desease. But heres my add to it anyways. Im sorry it took me so long to get to Farrahs death. However, I have been sick and out of it. I also reacted to Michael Jackson death quickly in part because it was such a huge shock to me. Ive been expecting Farrah to die for the last few weeks, Ive been hearing her story so it did not hit me hard like the Michael Jackson story did. However I am a fan of Farrahs too. So Ill just put this post up for her. Charlie's Angels, yep I grew up with it great show! I remember the RollerDisco show where one of the ladies had to learn RollerDisco to go undercover! I also remember the Show Girls episode where one of them had to dance. I remember when they went undercover in a womans prison that had an underground prostitution ring! I also watched The Burning Bed several times (Farrahs movie about wife abuse) and Small Sacrifices which was based on a true murder story once, Farrah was fantastic in both those movies! She was a great great artist and performer and stays forever with us in our hearts!

May God give her husband the strength he needs and that he finds solace in her memoirs. Rest in peace.

Ryan had asked Farrah to marry her and she did say yes, but checked into the hospital the day after that made news. So I don't know if they married in hospital or not.

Thanks for posting this. I read this morning that she was near death and that Ryan O'Neal had closed down her website. Then, about an hour later, I read that she had died.
She's the first of the original Charlie's Angels to pass on (John Forsythe has long since gone to glory :-) I watched the show when it was on in the 70s. I still say she had the greatest shag hairstyle ever :-)
She did more serious work in The Burning Bed (which I've not seen); I gather it was a turning point in her career. I say "more serious," but I'm still in two minds (after all these years) as to whether Charlie's Angels was liberating or retro.
< sigh > First McMahon, and now Fawcett. My mother points out that celebs die in threes, so I guess I'm waiting for the third shoe to drop :-(
Goes to show the Mother knows best. It's not just celebs, but life in general many times deaths will occur in three. It's really odd, but I have witnessed it many times.

What Farrah went through was so sad from watching the special about it a month or so ago. May she rest in peace.

Like Merope did, I grew up watching Charlie's Angels.... along with Police Woman, Wonder Woman, The Bionic Woman.... grew up watching women who kicked a$$.... Jacyln Smith was always my favorite Angel..... wanted to look just like her, but I nearly ruined my hair as a pre-teen blowing out my curly curls, using a hot iron to straighten, then a curling iron to mimic Farrah's feathered tresses..... Thankfully, after months of ruining my hair, corkscrew curls became fashionable and I've never owned a blow dryer or curling iron since. To be honest, I don't think Farrah Fawcett was a particularly gifted actress..... But she was an iconic figure.... and after she was diagnosed with cancer, she (based on what we read) handled it with dignity and didn't splatter herself all over the tabloids to keep the attention on herself. Good for her! I remember Ryan's daughter, Tatum - made some pretty snarky remarks about Farrah.... which only made Tatum sound like the spoiled child-star has been, didn't really detract from Farrah... I'm curious... my roommate says she heard Ryan and Farrah finally DID get married early this week, but I can't find anything in the news about this. Not that it matters whether they married or not.... obviously as long as they were together, what kept them together was their hearts and mind, not a piece of paper. Yet I kinda find myself hoping they did wind up tying the knot....
