Fondly remembering Fawcett. Back when she was with Lee Majors, and insisting on a hypenate (Fawcett-Majors), a wag in Texas talked about a new course of study being offered at the University of Texas. As a sub-set of archeology, students would look into ancient Egyptian plumbing. They would be known as...... Pharaoh Faucet Majors.
Democrats think the glass is half full. Republicans think the glass is theirs. Libertarians want to break the glass, because they think a conspiracy created it.

What an example of persistance and fortitude she gave us.
Requiestat in pacem.
It is excrutiating to watch someone enduring such pain. She fought a good battle and I must believe a warm and welcoming peace has embraced her.

Charlie's Angels was retro. And that red bathing suit poster was EVERYWHERE! The Burning Bed was an eye-opener as Fawcett really proved she had authentic acting ability.

Thanks for posting this. I read this morning that she was near death and that Ryan O'Neal had closed down her website. Then, about an hour later, I read that she had died. She's the first of the original Charlie's Angels to pass on (John Forsythe has long since gone to glory :-) I watched the show when it was on in the 70s. I still say she had the greatest shag hairstyle ever :-) She did more serious work in The Burning Bed (which I've not seen); I gather it was a turning point in her career. I say "more serious," but I'm still in two minds (after all these years) as to whether Charlie's Angels was liberating or retro. < sigh > First McMahon, and now Fawcett. My mother points out that celebs die in threes, so I guess I'm waiting for the third shoe to drop :-(
