Well then let me register my outrage. "This is outrageous!"
Unless I am convinced by Scripture and plain reason, my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not retract anything, for to go against conscience would be neither right nor safe. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me. Amen.

Good God. I have viewed the agreement and now that apparently means I assent to it. "I HAVE READ THIS AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO ALL OF THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED ABOVE." Fellow bnet members, DON'T CLICK THE LINK.

Sorry. It doesn't work that way. When you signed up for your FREE Beliefnet membership, you agreed to all those aforementioned provisions. Couldn't sign up without clicking on 'em. If you clicked thru without reading, that's kinda like like signing the contract without reading it first -- by signing you obliged yourself to 'em whether or not you chose to read 'em. In any event, you are free to share your ideas on other Internet forums -- nothing locking your ideas to Beliefnet alone. If the idea that Beliefnet can move or remove your posts and threads under prescribed conditions is repugnant to you, you are free to go to those other forums on the Web. On the other hand, since so many post here -- despite all those "repugnant" conditions -- then there must be something good about this forum, soooooooooooooooooooo...

Anyhow, we seemed to have digressed from the purpose of this thread, which was for mods and members to INTRODUCE THEMSELVES. To put us back on track, I'll introduce myself. I'm mlyons619. I'm one of the Four Musketeers (or Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?) on the US NEWS & POLITICS board. I'm also one of the Magnificant Seven on this forum!
I've been a member of Beliefnet since 1995, and a community participant since 2002. I'm a Navy veteran and a current schoolteacher (Special Education Resource Specialist for mild to moderate learning disabled, autistic spectrum, emotionally disturbed, e.g. a special ed. teacher for kids who are able to spend all or part of their time in the general classroom with special education assistance/support resources. I'm married with four grown children (one on active duty in the Navy) and currently living in the Sodom of the Southwest (e.g. Vegas). I've not been very visible unto recently, as I'm a brand new grandfather, and my granddaughter has been in ICU until two days ago.

Very Good Mark! Besides Beliefnet I have another life where I am a wife to a disabled Vietnam veteran, a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, a great aunt and know five generation of my maternal cousins. Hank and I have four adult children. The oldest daughter and hubby have two children making us grandparents for 12 years. Our second daughter and her husband are expecting their first baby around Thanksgiving. The baby daughter is married without children yet. Our son is the bachelor in the family. His story, Mind Monkey is in my journals. I work and volunteer in mental health. I am currently in the process of changing from working for the Mental Health Association to Mental Health Mental Retardation. In the mean time I have a weekly meeting at MHMR. We are involved in a pilot program with the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) helping mental health consumers to go to work. I am the chapter leader (president) for the local Depression Bipolar Support Alliance and on the Texas DBSA board. I also sometimes work for an entertainment company, as a intuitive reader when clients ask for a fortune teller, which pays a lot better than mental health. I also marry people from time to time. I'm a minister, but do not have a church nor do I want one. So far the couples have been friends, friends of friends and relatives.
