That was musical!

I wish your advice upon the subject of right speech. I try to maintain truthfulness. Yet others find that shocking!

I score low in the personality trait of agreeableness. Which was useful when employed as a scientist.

I need to write a conciliatory letter to socialists. Ideas welcome.

Thanks, Bhakta_glenn:

I am listening to the discourse.

My psychologist said that I was "circling the wagons". Which I take to mean "beating about the bush". Rather, I need to focus upon the topic of disability discrimination.

My recent physical training seems to have improved my mood. So my psychologist was pleased at my historically improved dealing with conflict.

With respect, you seem to be discussing two subjects of interest, simultaneously:

1     Buddhism

2     Disability Issues

As you may recall, sometime ago, you and I exchanged some very good discussions about Mental Health Issues, on the Mental Health Board.

With regard to Buddhism:

[As I understand things]

Buddhism deals exclusively with Mental Development. And for this reason, the Buddhist Meditation practices may be deployed as Psychotherapy.

However, in the context of a person who has Mental Illness, or disability, it is vitally important that the Buddhist Teacher needs to be both qualified as a Buddhist Teacher, and qualified in Mental Health, or at the very least, a qualified Doctor.

I am taught by a person who is both a qualified Teacher of Buddhist Meditation and a qualified Doctor.

In order to gain an accurate understanding of the issues raised by my Disability, she advised me to seek bona fide Mental Health Care. I did this and was given a Psychometric Test back in 2000. The information given to me by the Psychologist has proven to be of great value in my receiving safe Buddhist practices which are now bearing fruit.

Over the years of my Buddhist practice, I have been taught how to successfully describe my disability in the context of Theravada Buddhism. In this way, I have been shown how to derive a true understanding of my disability, without being blinded by medical jargon.

Many years ago, on this Buddhist Board, I attempted to show just how the Buddhist Meditation was helping me. It was a dismal failure. Therefore, when I post here now, I try to focus just on Buddhism, and the practice that I do, in the way that I practice.

I do not know if you are really interested in Buddhism because most of what you write appears to be about Disability, and Disability Issues, such as Disability Discrimination.

However, on the off-chance that you are even remotely interested in Buddhism, I am posting some more information from the same website as the post above, with the Dhamma Talk on the Eightfold Noble Path.

A long time ago, I attended a nine-day Vipassana retreat. That was on the Mundaring escarpment, above Perth in Western Australia.

Thank you for the reference, which I have been perusing.

I have listened to the discourse on the first noble truth. And I realised that the socialists who had shunned my age, were displaying the vanity of youth!

It is my duty or task to write about such subjects to that audience.
