I've been studying Buddhism for a while and recently  read a book about Pure Land Buddhism. It really peaked my interest and I've felt drawn to Pure Land ever since. I'd like to hear from anyone who practices this tradition, the basics of it all. How often should I chant the Nembutsu? What Buddhist texts (in the context of Pure Land) should I read? What is your understanding of Tariki? Anything else I should know about this tradition? Any insight is so very appreciated. Thanks!

We don't seem to have any Pure Landers these days. I have only a passing awareness of the sect. Possibly you can find some help here.

Happy hunting,

Bob
