Hi Bob0,

I read your article and it makes sense to me!  I came through the Christian door but Buddhism is just as valid.  I hope people realize that at the "top" the religions are alike.  Here's hoping you have a great day!

When I read the article it seemed to say to me that a whole bunch of really smart guys had no idea what 2012 would bring. But there are lots of people ready to cling to ideas. Ideas like Y2K chaos , or the end of the world because the Mayan Calendar has runs out later this year. It made me recall Stephen Batchelor's provocative question in Buddhism Without Beliefs: "Since death alone is certain and the time of death uncertain, what should I do?"
